Trusted teacher: Hello ! I'm Etienne, I'm a professional electronic music producer and guitarist. I have been practicing MAO (computer-assisted music) for more than ten years, notably within a Techno music group in which I was able to train in sound engineering with a qualified engineer. of INFA. I was also able to perfect my approach to composition by training with a teacher at the American School of modern music Paris. I'm part of a Techno duo Sana + Nasa (more recently renamed "AZA:ZEL"). We are in the artist catalog of the booking agency La Quarantaine, our music has been published on labels such as SCTR, Carcères Records, Jaelos and Afterhours and we have had the privilege of playing several times in Paris, Berlin and Zagreb. I also had the opportunity to do podcasts on The Techno Children and Eletronic Subculture and finally on television on Clubbing TV (international broadcast) I started teaching music (electronic music and guitar) in 2019 and I regularly give lessons to around ten students, both girls and boys! Everything can take place in my studio as if by video. I give lessons for both advanced level students and beginners who have no experience. I currently have a Techno project, a beatmaking project (selling pop, rap and electro instrumentals) and I am also part of a metal band... which means that I teach several styles of music ! Together we will be able to discover: - composition (arrangement) - Mixing and mastering - DJing I can also advise you on the equipment you will need (a computer and a good headset are more than enough at the start) and I will help you install everything you need, free installation ;) There are 1000 training courses on YouTube, the only problem is that there is food and drink, a lot of training provided and not always in the right order. I first started learning computer music on my own and it was a long process! Especially because I had to unlearn a lot of things. As a teacher, I will be able to support you in your learning and guide it so that you can ingest the right information in the right order and ensure that you have understood it perfectly. In short, I will save you a lot of time, time which can be counted in years of learning. One of my students started with me 5 months ago, he started with almost no knowledge of computer music, today he plays regularly for Darude and his latest creation will be released on a label. I'm not going to lie to you, he worked a lot to get there, but what he achieved took me years to do and it very probably couldn't have been done without training. As flash education is the new trend on the web, I try to identify myself as someone that does not take pride in giving "tips&tricks" classes rather to build toghether a path towards nolt only the understanding of the musical concepts, but towards their discovery. Through the use of Ableton Live I will cover music theory and it's appplication to the digital and analog world, exploring electronic and acoustic music, providing by time to time free tools and subsequent explanaition on how to use them, to build not only an in depth knowledge, but an efficient workflow. Having thaught in universities, it is clear to me that the path to learn cannot be a series of discontinued classes. For that reason I spur you to send me a message and organise up to 60 minutes of consultation, so to craft the ideal path to you. Whether is understanding of music theory ( Which I will refer to during classes as black magic ), or understanding all the steps and knowledge that are needed to start and finish a track. The classes will be on zoom and at the end of it I will provide you the recording of each class so that you can keep track of whatever we did at all times. Including after we will be finished :)

Trusted teacher: I specialized in contemporary music composition in Bucharest, Birmingham and Paris having finished with honors my Bachelor, my Master and my Doctorate degree in this field. I also have a pedagogical degree and 2 years of experience in which I taught music composition, musical forms, poliphony, orchestration, music theory and solfege at the National University of Music from Bucharest. In 2022 I finished a 2nd Master's Degree in Film Music Composition at the ZHdK. This class is for both beginners who want to compose music as a hobby and to aspiring professional composers. The main topic of my doctoral thesis was the compositional idea and the processes involved in the creative undertakings. How does one reach the final stage of a composition from just a few ideas? How can we improve this endeavour? What strategies and techniques are needed in order to do that? The class will be customized for each student so in order to achieve a certain objective in music composition the lessons can include elements of music theory, harmony, poliphony, orchestration, improvisation, music notation (Finale & Dorico) and music production (StudioOne). Although solfege and improvisation are extremely useful (I dare say even indispensable) for a professional composer, they can also be means to an end for passionate music lovers. Solfege and strategies that come with it can help your singing and music sight reading. And improvisation is such a fun and relaxing activity that I think everybody should do it!
