11 voice (music) teachers in Bethnal Green

Over my 10 years of teaching experience both privately and through NYC music schools, I have developed a variety of effective and individualized teaching tools that I continually refine. My students range in age from 5-70 years and sing music in a variety of styles including classical, musical theater, pop, and more. I have helped hundreds of singers reach their personal goals which have ranged from matching pitch to winning competitions, getting the leading role in a show or putting together a solo recital to confidently performing at karaoke and achieving their personal best. Please message me if you cannot find a time that works and I will do my best to accommodate you. Skills include: Acting and Text Interpretation Performance and Audition prep Alexander Technique and body awareness Music Theory and Ear Training Movement & Dance (ballet, jazz, contemporary) Italian, French, German language and diction Russian diction Piano Rooted in the classical tradition my focus is on building a solid and healthy vocal technique and applying that to the genre of choice. This will also improve your day to day speaking voice. My experience in dance, Alexander Technique, and acting informs my teaching approach. I include body awareness, character interpretation, and making the music come alive as an integral part of the lessons. If applicable, lessons may also include techniques for audition, competition, and performance preparation as well as beginner piano, reading music, theory and ear training. I love to teach and enjoy helping others achieve their personal singing goals. Everyone has a unique voice and learning style and I tailor my teaching to each individual. I welcome students of all ages and levels and styles of singing and I look forward to helping you sing with ease and joy! I speak with with my students before our first lesson to understand their background, goals, and answer any questions before we begin. For the first lesson, I always ask you bring something you like to sing and then as we progress we decide what repertoire makes the most sense. I start by explaining how the voice works: our body as our instrument. I then introduce individualized technique exercises to fit the student's need. Our work will include breath, resonance, vocal fold closure, vowels, range, and much more. My ultimate goal is to give you tools to build confidence in your practice and reach your personal goals in a fun and supportive environment! About me: Singing and teaching are two of my greatest passions. Well-versed in many vocal genres, I have performed in operas, recitals, musicals, choirs, and competitions internationally including the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. I have a Master of Music in classical vocal performance from the Mannes School of Music and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Michigan. I have studied dance, piano, and Alexander Technique in addition to vocal pedagogy. Inspired by my own incredible teachers, I have always been fascinated with how the voice works and bring positivity, patience, and passion to my teaching.

Trusted teacher: Do you want to know the register of your voice? Be able to sing the highest notes without hurting your voice? Learn how to do the passing notes? Be able to have a powerful but also agile voice? I am a songwriter, pop and jazz singer and singing teacher with 20 years of experience in music. I offer singing lessons at all levels. My lessons are aimed at developing body, muscular and vocal awareness that helps to perceive and consider our body as a musical instrument. My teaching method is the result of the synthesis of my experience as a singer and the many and diverse study paths followed. The lesson is structured in two parts: the first half devoted to vocal technique, the second half to the musical repertoire and learning the musical language (jazz or pop or other genre). The vocal technique that I propose is a basic technique for all types of modern singing: from postural education to the care of breathing, from the use of abdominal muscles, to the emission of air to the resonance cavities. We will work on the sound, on the extension of the voice, on the high and low notes, on the passage of register, on the control, on the power and agility. From a repertoire perspective, the course will be tailored to the student's needs or interests, with an eye to the proper attitude to have while singing and on stage. I can prepare the student for the conservatory entrance exam and any form of audition. If the student wishes, I can give him/her notions of harmony and music reading.

Trusted teacher: Guitarist, singer, poet, composer, performer ... and with 20 years of teaching experience, I am happy to share my experience and my know-how: both from a technical point of view (musical knowledge, instrumental or vocal technique ...) than from a more global point of view: expressiveness, body awareness, confidence, creativity ... What interests me above all is to guide you towards more relaxation and confidence as well as autonomy with his or her instruments, to accompany his curiosity, to develop his musical sense and give him the means to go towards the music (s) that attract him. I like to work from what touches you: welcome to those who know what pieces they dream of playing, what style they like!!... instrumental technique and music are learned all the better through what we like (starting from learning a piece to learn a rhythm, reading new notes, knowing more about a style of music, the form of music, etc.) VOICE RATING I propose : - singing lessons: whatever the repertoire targeted, become aware of your body and the vocal gesture, through vocal and body games bring more naturalness and at the same time more control with your own voice; - vocal and psycho-bodily coaching: specific training aimed at building confidence with one's own voice and expression; I also support in the preparation of concert or recording: mastery of voice and breath (!), Interpretation, pronunciation, staging; VERSATILITY and CREATIVITY! I support all projects that need a guitar AND a voice: - do you want to sing along? I teach what is missing in guitar, what is missing in vocals and I have a toolbox today full to facilitate the coordination of the two! - do you want to compose, write songs, or do you have texts but not the chords, you have the melodies but not the words? ... Do you feel stuck in some part of the process? I can help you unwind the thread of your creativity, better understand your gestures, your "dough", find new paths etc ...

Trusted teacher: About myself I am Gulnara and I am a professional classical singer. As a soloist I sing leading roles on major international stages such as Mariinsky Theater, Scottish Opera, Opera de Colombia and in the Netherlands for example in De Doelen. I studied classical singing in St. Petersburg (Russia), at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and, among others, at the famous Georg Solti Accademia in Tuscany. At the same time, I have been teaching singing to both children and adults at different levels and with different music styles for many years. For example, I also help with the preparation for an audition. How does the singing lesson go? The singing lesson consists of two parts. During the recording we do singing exercises and you learn the basic singing technique. This consists of breath support, learning to sing pure tones (voicing) and articulation. Then you sing different repertoire (songs, arias, songs, etc.) and we apply what you have just learned. I also pay attention to your presentation and the artistic aspects of singing (emotion and passion!). I accompany my students on the piano. I regularly organize music evenings where the students play for each other. Lesson to children I teach children from 4 years old. Singing pleasure and musical development are central. Bring your favorite song! All music styles are possible. We can also organize sings with other children. If you have ambition to study at the conservatory, I can prepare you for this. Lessons for adults Mature with good motivation and love for music, I like to support their further musical and singing development. We are working hard! Step by step, we push your boundaries and work towards your dream or passion. Info For adults and children from 14 years, I teach in these Corona times in the large space with the necessary distance. I also teach via Skype. I prefer to teach during the day, for adults I can also teach in the evening.

Cheslava
Cheslava did not waste a moment of time and found her rhythm with my son very quickly. There was an amazing sense of grace and patience in her tone, yet there was a firm bit of direction that moved the lesson in a clear direction. As a particular detail, I very much appreciated the moments that she asked my son about his experience throughout, and encouraged him to describe every degree of his challenges which I believe teaches him to go beyond the impact of his feelings but to technically observe weaknesses to improve them. It was a sincere honor and privilege to receive her lesson and we will certainly be looking forward to being taught by her again. 👑

Singing classes, vocal coaching, from beginners to professionals.
Anzor
I consider myself an intermediate level singer (have had four years of opera training) so listening to feedback was challenging from a new observer. It was only the first lesson so I need to do more to gauge our compatibility but he definitely seems knowledgeable about voices and ways to improve just based off of a few sounds, which I found interesting and impressive. I articulated my goals and he believes he can help me get there. He is direct and to the point - also a quality I appreciate. We'll see. But so far so good ;)

Albina
Albina is a wonderful teacher. I have been taking weekly lessons since November 17 and have much improved my voice and singing technique. I have definitely learned a lot. She has a good system for each lesson with various vocal exercises followed by songs of your choice. She is very flexible in her scheduling, which helps when you're faced with unpredictable workhours. Class with Albina is always one the highlights of my week!
