In our lessons, we will work on breath, correct vowel pronunciation, placement, diction, etc... as well as getting rid of the tension and habits that keep us from singing freely and beautifully. We will also work on the musical and dramatic aspects of the material we choose together, so that you will feel comfortable at an audition or a performance. A performance graduate of the prestigious Australian National University School of Music, I have a strong foundation in vocal technique that I draw upon to help students develop their own sound. I have performed and collaborated with well-known international musicians including Grammy Award winning artist Chilly Gonzales. I have toured and released music internationally, achieving acclaim independently, off the back of my own hard work. My joy of singing is second only to my passion for song-making and creative expression. With several, self-made releases under my belt I am able to provide students with a pragmatic approach to their goals as singers, pianists, songwriters, artists and performers. I so enjoyed my class with Deborah! Immediately from when I first went in, I felt very comfortable. It was a really fun session, we went through different songs that I like, for her to get a feeling for my voice. She also already gave me some really helpful advice, which I can already feel the difference in how much power I have in my voice! I am really looking forward to my future sessions with her.
