I have played the violin for over 20 years and am currently doing a master ́s of music in violin. Music is my passion, I have been teaching violin for 5 years, in music schools as well as privately from the ages of 7 to 60. My aim in teaching is to enable the student to experience the beauty, richness and also the fun side of music, by helping to develop the technical skills needed to express oneself on the violin. I find it very important to take into account the personal goals and wishes of the student and to create an atmosphere of encouragement, creativity and mutual understanding. No matter if you are interested in learning to play your favourite tunes just for fun or want to build up strong, solid technique and play demanding repertoire, I would be happy to work with you.The world of music is incredibly rich and I would love to help you on the exciting journey of discovering it. As a member of the European String Teachers’ Association, I participated in their conferences across Europe. I have prepared students for music exams at all levels, working with them on music theory, aural and sight reading skills, and regularly accompany students on the piano. As a performing musician, I appear as a soloist and chamber musician internationally, recently including at the ‘Gstaad Menuhin’, ‘Schiermonnikoog’ and 'Rome Chamber Music' festivals. I have participated in several international competitions, notably receiving the Barbirolli prize at the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition 2019, 1st prize at the Małopolska competition, and the Len Lickorish Memorial Prize at the Royal Overseas League International Strings Competition. Toby
Toby is an outstanding instructor and works with children very naturally. My 11 year old son has been taking lessons with Toby for over two months and is eager for each lesson. Toby is extremely talented, but beyond that, he engages my son deeply with the music itself, fundamental techniques, music theory, and even the interpretation of the music. Toby is kind, encouraging, and works with students at a level that is appropriate. He has allowed my son to chose music that if fun and interesting to practice, even though the pieces are challenging. We are located many time zones away from Toby, and the virtual lessons do not hinder our experience with him. In fact, I often sit in to listen to the lessons, as they are so good. My son has had a couple of lessons with Toby while company has been over, and everyone has commented on how amazing Toby is as an instructor. I can not recommend Toby enough and hope to continue lessons with him for a long time.

Arusyak is a talented professional violinist who somehow manages to balance her professional life and also to share time with those of us who aspire to learn how to play violin. If you seek excellent violin instruction I recommend you contact her. She is friendly and professional, flexible with scheduling, and possesses a great attitude and interest in helping you learn. I have studied with her now for nearly three months and am very pleased with my progress. She shares encouragement while exhibiting patience as I manage the simple tasks of a beginner. If you or a family member desire excellent and balanced instruction as you learn to play violin, I highly recommend Arusyak.

Anna is an excellent violin teacher. I highly recommend her. She’s able to convey her passion for violin in a fun and relatable way for children by teaching/practicing through games and stories. She knows how to channel my son’s energy and keep him focused by making the lessons interesting for a child. She has a really good balance between being demanding yet encouraging and positive. My 6 year old started the violin six months ago and I’m very pleased to see him enjoy playing and learning. He looks forward to his lesson with Anna every week and I’m very pleased with his progress.
