Hello! My name is Jen and I am a session guitar and bass guitar player with over 10 years of professional experience. I have performed in a wide variety of bands, playing genres such as pop, rock, soul, jazz and folk, and using techniques like finger-style, slap, palm muting and picking. It is so important for people of all ages to learn new skills and discover methods of self expression - playing an instrument can be a gateway to enhancing children's development and future life skills. This is why I am so enthusiastic about teaching music to kids but also to anyone wanting to learn. I will listen to their needs and goals and personalise the process for each individual ensuring they get the most out of these sessions. I am eager to share and teach my knowledge of these wonderful instruments and inspire my students to have fun whilst playing and in turn, excel as a musician and performer! I also teach music theory as it is a pivitol part of understanding the instrument at harder levels. I believe it's really important to teach with the students goals in mind and so to begin with, I would have a conversation about where they are with their playing currently, where they want to be and what they want to primarily focus on. Pedro is really experienced and flexible teacher with a big repertoir and a variety of music styles. We focused on jazz guitar and learned standard compositions. Pedro was able to find good examples and songs for what I needed to learn and adjusted them for our lessons. It certainly boosted my jazz guitar skills and getting started with improvising.

I have had two ukelele classes so far and I am very happy. Stephano is chill but committed to helping you advance. I did not expect to learn music theory as well which I am finding very interesting and rewarding because I am already applying it when playing. I would definitely recommend him to anyone irrespective of their level.
