I prepared two lessons in Portuguese on Neapolitan culture and language as part of a cycle of masterclasses on Elena Ferrante's tetralogy. I interfaced with European and Brazilian clients to give some interpretations on some aspects that I considered crucial to my culture. In the second lesson, however, I provided some rudiments of phonetics and grammar, as well as a list of sayings and idiomatic phrases used, in large part, by the Neapolitans daily. I believe that a lesson should focus on the learner's personal goals while organizing a spiral path that looks at grammar, vocabulary, and the use of the language in specific contexts and for daily tasks.
