If you are solely interested in speaking, then I recommend Levantine or Gulf dialects. If you aim to master Arabic comprehensively, then Formal Arabic (Fus’ha) would be more suitable. What is the 30-hour program? The 30-hour program is designed to help you achieve conversational fluency and effectively express yourself and your needs. What comes after the 30 hours? If you are enrolled in the Dialects course, we will continue refining your speaking skills and expanding your vocabulary during lessons. We’ve had two in-person sessions with Hatice so far and they have been excellent. Her classes are engaging and accessible to students of different levels. In a class, she is very skilled at offering depth for someone who has some turkish understanding as well as being accessible to a beginner. I spent a week with Lina ”learning by living”. We toured Ankara, went to museums, bookstores, bazars, hung out at Lina and Batu's cafe, cooked together, went to Lina's yoga class, etc. And everything we did, at least as long as my brain wasn't exploding from language overload, was accompanied by language instruction. It was absolutely fantastic!
