If you want to find an organic and fluid way to play. If you are looking above all to enjoy the flute as an instrument and music to express yourself freely. Now is the time! I am willing to accompany you in a process where we will focus on modeling your authentic way of playing, whatever your style or flutist current. My professional career has led me to experiment with very different musical styles, ranging from the baroque (where I have specialized in ancient instruments) to Latin jazz, going through life in symphony orchestras, opera, flamenco tablaos, dance companies or jazz clubs. As for my teaching experience, I have more than 16 years teaching in institutions including the Escola Luthier de Barcelona, Escola de Música Diapasó, Escola de Música de Gracia or the Yehudi Menuhin "Live Music Now" Foundation. I currently play in the Orquestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique conducted by Sir John Eliot Gardiner in London, as well as the New Utrecht Philharmonic and the Aachen Opera Orchestra in Germany. I am part of the creative cast of the Sol Picó dance company and I direct my personal project, shaping my compositions in the field of Latin-jazz flamenco. I have worked in the Orchestra of L'Academia Gran Teatre del Liceu, with Josep Carreras, Palacio del Flamenco, Tarantos or Ronnie's Scott Jazz Club in London. I frequently play in concert halls such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Royal Albert Hall or the Opéra Comique de Paris. I live in Madrid, but I also offer the possibility of teaching via skype. Thanks and greetings!

Trusted teacher: Hello everybody, I am Reiko. I teach flute and baroque transverse flute. The flute is a well-known, popular instrument, but what is a baroque transverse flute!? It is a wooden flute that was played in the 17th and the 18th centuries (roughly) in Europe, so if you are curious how the pieces of J. S. Bach or G. F. Handel sounded at the time they were composed, you can take lessons with baroque transverse flute! Ever since I first encountered the flute, in my elementary school in Japan, it has been the biggest passion of my life. I studied modern flute and other historical flutes in Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo, Japan, then there followed a Master’s degree in Early Music from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. Playing the flute is fun and discovering beautiful music through the flute is a wonderful experience. I would like to guide you to find the best way for you. I work with young people and older adults, beginners, and experienced musicians. -Experiment and Explore- In my lessons, I teach/explain the basics, then students begin experimenting, with my help. How to hold a flute, breathe, practice – to discover what is comfortable and works well for each person. How to use the body and how to approach the music. And we will explore the Why together. Are you telling a story with the piece? What are you expressing with a flute? Can you learn something about yourself with this practice? I will help you while you learn. I am your guide and your coach, and I go with you towards your goal. Do you think you don’t have time to learn to play the flute? Don’t be afraid to try it first; you can always start. You can always stop. You think you don’t have time to practice, but there are moments every day – just 20 minutes is enough – to improve on your own over time, and I will show you how. Enjoy the flute bit by bit. Bonus: We can play together, in person, or even via zoom. I call it “zoom karaoke.” Playing together gives your learning a boost.

Trusted teacher: Hello Flutist!! How are you doing during these pandemic times? Hope you are well and safe!! I am Marcio. Welcome to my Apprentus profile! First of all, I am a specialized and fully dedicated Online Teacher. I have been teaching online since the very beginning of the covid pandemic. Since then, I have developed a lot of my way of working. All my lessons are run on Skype which works amazingly well for both video and audio. Also, to enrich the quality of the audio from my students, I very often use a pair of professional headphones which give me amazing high definition sound and articulation of the student. I also work on my iPad with the Apple Pencil and using the share screen resource I can demonstrate and draw on music sheets and methods that I am working with the student at that moment. I simply love it and most of the time it really feels much better than a lesson in person due to all these technological possibilities. My students and I have a lot of fun, you can count on that! I also have a number of Pricing Plans for weekly lessons that will lower the cost of the lesson considerably! My METHODOLOGY I use a methodology that I have developed over the years of practicing and teaching both my students and myself. It’s called: PRIORITY FOCUS. PRIORITY FOCUS basically is a non-multi tasking way of learning a musical instrument allowing time and space for us to learn and fully conquer one ability at a time. We start at the very basic aspects of posture, fingering, and embouchure, and climb our way up to the most detailed techniques and musical expressions. One Flute-playing ability at the time. This methodology is constructed on what I consider to be the two main subjects in Music learning and playing, what I call THE PILLARS OF MUSIC: MUSICALITY AND INSTRUMENTAL TECHNIQUE Both intermix and coexist in a single dimension, but in terms of studying and progressing, I find that separating them is essential to accelerate and solidify my students’ learning and my own. MUSICALITY encompasses aspects such as musical phrases, vibrato, dynamics, tone colors, improvisations, music theory, harmony, and style: CLASSICAL, JAZZ, FUNK, POP, SAMBA, and BOSSA-NOVA, all of which I have KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE. In INSTRUMENTAL TECHNIQUE, in our case, FLUTE TECHNIQUE, we have elements such as posture, embouchure, fingerings, breathing, articulation, tonguing, and music reading. To work on these aspects with my students I use several distinctive Flute Methods, from the most TRADITIONAL to the most MODERN ones, as well as INNUMEORUS EXERCICES that I have specifically developed for Flute technical improvements from years of experience as a Flutist, Student, and Teacher. I also use many teachings from distinct areas such as Yoga for FOCUS and RELAXATION, Alexander technique for Posture and BALANCE, and Philosophical spiritual schools for MOTIVATION. Let’s also not forget the intense work that’s is done on the REPERTOIRE OF THE STUDENT’S TASTE. I provide all materials from my vast library completely TO MY STUDENTS. I confess that there is nothing in the world, besides being with my wife and daughter, that I love more than playing and teaching about Music and the Flute. I am an extremely PATIENT, ENTHUSIASTIC, DEDICATED, AND CARING TEACHER. MOTIVATION is the key and I GUARANTEE that you’ll leave motivated after each lesson.

Trusted teacher: Lets work together and get those music skills better, shall we?😜 My name is Juan, I am a Spanish born flutist that works internationally, and nowadays I'm based in Rotterdam. I have already finished two Master degrees and a Bachelor with some of the worlds best professors and institutions: Robert Winn in the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln (Germany), and Jacques Zoon in Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía (Madrid). Since many years, I work and collaborate with many different symphony orchestras as principal flute, soloist or piccolo flute, as well as with chamber music groups and ensembles. You can check the links below to listen some of my performances! :) I have a very wide teaching experience. I've been teaching for around 10 years now, in many different institutions: high development schools, orchestras, private schools, private students... and nowadays live and/ or online! I can teach all flute levels, from initiation to preparation for bachelor, master or orchestral auditions. I have a wide knowledge of the repertoire, and I've worked on it with many of the best flutists we have today: Formisano, Baerten, Grehl, Franz... Feel free to contact me to organice a personalized lesson, or just to know me a little bit more! Lessons can be at my home (Delfshaven-Rotterdam), online or at your home (after figuring out traveling expenses, etc. At my place, I have a very big space where covid security measures can be perfectly applied (even for a flute lesson!) Looking forward to know from you :)

Malvina
A really good flute teacher who sets interesting challenges to motivate practising the flute every day and independently. She also has plenty of up-to-date ideas combining different material sources (including digitals! top notch teacher with IT!) according to my needs and interests. She teaches me a lot of very useful tips for my level and I can hear a clear difference from a lesson to another. Yet, no miracle either: you must practice! But with the right instructions, she can help you pass obstacles you may have thought they were impossible to overcome. And playing the flute becomes a mere pleasure and joyful challenge! Besides, she never allows you to rest in your comfortable zone! There are always plenty of interesting and useful things to learn with great pleasure rather than with pain and stress! Thank you so much Malvina! Looking forward to our future lessons!
