From the medieval era to contemporary literature, we will analyze the literary movements, the great authors and the key works that have shaped French literary heritage. Methodology of text commentary and dissertation: Mastery of the methodology of text commentary and dissertation is essential to pass the French baccalaureate test. During this program, we will teach you specific techniques for analyzing a literary text, identifying its issues, its stylistic processes and structuring a clear and argued text commentary. We will also discuss the methodology of the dissertation, guiding you step by step in the construction of a relevant problem, a detailed plan and a solid argument. You will practice applying these rules through practical exercises and interactive activities to strengthen your grammatical skills. Practical exercises : Regular practice is essential to develop your French skills. During this program, you will have the opportunity to practice through a variety of practical exercises. Trusted teacher: I provide one on one virtual dyslexia therapy using Take Flight: A Comprehensive Reading Intervention for Students with Dyslexia. The curriculum was created for children who have been identified with Dyslexia. It is an individualized Orton-Gillingham based approach which addresses all areas of language development needed to create successful spellers, readers and writers. What is Dyslexia therapy? Intervention for dyslexia directly, explicitly and systematically teaches an awareness of the sounds of language, letter-sound associations, vocabulary and strategies for understanding written language. Guided, repeated practice enables the child to apply what they have learned efficiently. Intensity (e.g., smaller group size, extended length of sessions and treatment, more individualized lessons) is what distinguishes dyslexia intervention from regular reading instruction. We are retraining the Dyslexic brain by lighting up the parts of the brain that are working well, and helping to compensate for the part that is weaker. Who can teach Take Flight? I have been certified to teach Take Flight, only certified practitioners may utilize the Take Flight program. The program was created at the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia & Learning Disorders at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas. It is a highly effective, multi-sensory, explicit, systematic phonetic method of instruction for both reading and spelling. We start at the phoneme level of language, at very basic skills, and progress to the more nuanced skills such as morphology and etymology. How often do children need therapy? This program is intended to be taught 5 times a week for 45 minutes each session or 4 times a week for 60 minutes each session. If necessary, we can make accommodations for timing. Therapy is a marathon, not a sprint.

Trusted teacher: How many people in the world speak German as their mother tongue? Around 130 million people speak German as their mother tongue, or as their second language. German is the most widely spoken mother tongue in the European Union and is the official language in seven countries. There are 7.5 million people in 42 countries who are part of a German-speaking minority. How many people have already learned German as a foreign language? 289 million! It is the total number of people around the world who have learned German at some point, according to a calculation by the Germanist Ulrich Ammon. Another question is, to what extent they have done it. Currently, 15.4 million people around the world learn German as a foreign language, 90 percent are schoolchildren and the remaining 10 percent are adults. How many words are there in the German language? More than you might think. German learners soon learn that two nouns combined make up a new word. This makes it difficult to count the total number. In 2013, Berlin philologists estimated a total of 5.3 million German words. In 2017, the editors of the Duden, the standard work of German spelling, calculated that today's German has almost 23 million words (in its basic forms alone). This result is based on a gigantic digital collection of texts from a total of 40,000 fiction and non-fiction books. However, the latest edition of the Duden contains only 145,000 entries. And a normal speaker uses only 12,000 to 16,000 words. What words are the most common? „Der, die, das“: Specific articles, which all German students know so well, take first place. They are followed by "in" and "and". Which word has the most letters? In the Duden it is: "Aufmerksamkeitsdefizit-Hyperaktivitätsstörung" (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), with 44 letters. Why was the International Mother Language Day created? The UN declared February 21 the International Mother Language Day, because almost half of the 6,000 existing languages around the world are in danger of extinction. German is not one of them, it is one of the ten most widely spoken languages. But in Germany there are regional languages dominated by fewer and fewer people: North Frisian and East Frisian are especially threatened languages, according to the UNESCO Atlas of the World's Languages in Danger. In class, we will tackle grammar as daily as drinking water or eating during the day. My work materials include flashcards, textbooks, web pages, podcasts, German movies and series, music and literary books.
