Well, nothing compared with Chinese or Hungarian language... ;) I promise you. The Spanish language has important differences with Asian languages, true. But when you identified which they are, is just a question of practice. A good explanation for this is that especially for Japanese students, Spanish phonetic is much easier than English. And both languages, Spanish and English, share many words, structures and phonetics. You will surprise how much Spanish words you know already and you didn't realize. Despite this, I understand how hard could be in some moments. But DON'T worry, please! Step by step, together, you will get confident and motivation pretty high to make this fantastic language, YOUR language. I enjoyed my class with Mirjam very much! She prepared nice exercises for me, but was also open to do some exercises from my own books in the future. She explains everything clearly and precisely, and I already notice a progress in my Dutch after just one class, as she gave me concrete advice and feedback on some errors that I have been making in my speach. The class atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, you don't have to be scared to ask any questions or make errors. I think that Mirjam's approach would be perfect for you if you are just starting, but also for us who are already speaking the language for some time but want to perfect it. With a Masters Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language, Yimer is obviously very qualified but he also has a gift of teaching that is very effective in making progress on the learning journey. Part of this has to be in his patience and being a teacher that has a way of explaining things, both in English and Spanish, that make learning easier. I have had quite a few Spanish tutors over the years but Yimer, is clearly the best.

Great communicator, accomodaing pace and very good grasp of the teaching approach. I love it! I have just finished 10 sessions with Javier and I am already renewing, my focus is on getting comfortable speaking in Spanish and using what I have learned. Javier is a wealth of knowledge and can engage the student in any subject ( culture, history, liteature..etc) I am very happy with the classes and highly recommend my instructor!
