I understood very early that I like not only learning but also teaching languages and studied my Masters of Linguistics Applied to Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I have lived in France, India, Germany and Russia teaching Spanish. During these 15 years of teaching, I learnt a lot about different methods, people and logics. I use a variety of resources (textbooks, articles, small videos, audios...) providing examples, exercises and homework so that what is to be learnt is doable. I adapt my classes to what students want and need so they make the most of their time and money. I think it is very important for students to feel comfortable and safe. It is also essential that what we do and talk about in class makes sense and is relevant for you. It is your goal and personal style of learning what will define our classes. I also speak English, French, German and Russian. I can explain in the student′ s mother tongue if necessary although my goal will be to speak Spanish from the very beginning with affordable exercises adapted to your level. I love teaching and learning new languages because they bring us closer.

I enjoyed my class with Mirjam very much! She prepared nice exercises for me, but was also open to do some exercises from my own books in the future. She explains everything clearly and precisely, and I already notice a progress in my Dutch after just one class, as she gave me concrete advice and feedback on some errors that I have been making in my speach. The class atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, you don't have to be scared to ask any questions or make errors. I think that Mirjam's approach would be perfect for you if you are just starting, but also for us who are already speaking the language for some time but want to perfect it. Great communicator, accomodaing pace and very good grasp of the teaching approach. I love it! I have just finished 10 sessions with Javier and I am already renewing, my focus is on getting comfortable speaking in Spanish and using what I have learned. I thoroughly enjoyed my first lesson with Alvaro. He made me feel very comfortable throughout the lesson and I found myself trying to speak more in Spanish than ever before. That is fantastic as I'm so hesitant with my limited knowledge.
