Trusted teacher: My lessons are for anyone who wants to delve into electronic music & sound design. As an experienced composer, producer and sound designer I specialize in applying my broad knowledge and experience in the field of music & technology. Most successful electronic musicians combine different skills, such as working with music production software and hardware, playing a keyboard, recording and mixing, but also music theory and composition techniques. Because as an electronic musician you often have to deal with different instruments & other sound sources, my lessons are also very suitable if you want to learn to design your own sounds, not only to make music, but also as sound effects for videos or games, for example. Just like in my own professional practice, I teach the different aspects of electronic music production: - sound design ('sound design'), both analogue and digital - synthesis - composition techniques - software for music production, so-called 'DAWs' such as Ableton Live - hardware, such as modular synthesizers and effect units - production: recording and mixing of audio - performance of electronic music It is also possible to learn more about (Western and non-Western) music theory and the history of (electronic) music. From my background as a sound designer for games & film, much of me can share knowledge and experience in this. In principle, my lessons are always adapted to the individual needs, knowledge and skills of the student. For the youngest, my approach is to introduce them to music and technology in a playful way. For this I use my own collection of musical instruments that I have collected over the years from all over the world, and which I link to technology.

Trusted teacher: Who is this workshop for? For anyone curious about sound, all music, music in general, who wants to manufacture, build, examine ... (from 12 or 13 years old). Do you need to know music theory? No. But familiarity with music of various styles can be of great help. DJ? "Electro" music? No ! We will not learn here to be a DJ or to compose “dance-music”, “electro” music in the commonly understood sense, not even songs. Do you need to know the computer? It is better if it is, but learning can be done at the same time as musical research. Is this course a software learning course? No. I give the basics (only on Logic Pro X or Garageband) to be able to compose but I do not teach the deep use of software. Is it necessary to have a computer? Yes ! A "workshop" rather than a class? The course takes the form of a practical workshop, listening sessions, criticism of works. By computer? Everything happens on a computer once sound elements of all kinds have been recorded. Editing, transformation, mixing on software designed for this. No software required. The proposed route can be adapted to any multitrack sequencing software. The computer is only a tool, it is the composer who makes the music. Practically what do we do? The composer works “from the sounds” that he has most often recorded himself. He chooses them, assembles them, deforms them, mixes them according to his project, at will. of his intuition, his ideas and desires, gradually builds a music. For those who wish and need it, exercises are offered which allow to approach at the same time techniques of realization and precise musical proposals. Composition / Invention It is not a question of declaring themselves all composers, but of affirming that we can all ask ourselves composers' questions, with both seriousness and imagination. To confront the game of a free invention. What musical orientation? What style ? This is a “musical research” process: seek to invent a music beyond traditional values - note pitches, regular pulsations, instrumental timbres - without forbidding all that. A “music of sounds”, in the broadest possible sense, a “music of all sounds “as opposed to what one could obviously call too simplified“ a music of notes ”. This choice, which apparently seems to shake up musical uses, is nevertheless part of a tradition of more than a century and rich in a repertoire that is too little known and which has had various names: - Electroacoustic music - Concrete music - Acousmatic music - Contemporary music Finally, we each have a precious tool to never forget: our ear, and a fascinating and rewarding job to lead, questioning about oneself.

He has made national and international premieres of Latin-American composers such as Leo Brouwer and Javier Farías, with an ensemble and as a soloist. We can work in any kind of songs, strummings, fingerpicking, fingerstyle My classes are for: -Amateurs and advanced students. -Kids, young people, and adults. I can teach in English, Spanish, and High German. More about my classes My guitar teaching model is based on books and the approach of guitarist and pedagogue Abel Carlevaro. In some way, it is about understanding and analyzing the nature of the movements we make to play the guitar or ukelele in the simplest way possible. Just as to build a building you need a good foundation, to build a system of skills that allows us to be musicians, we need to know and practice in a conscious way all the movements we do. These movements are what we do when we play just one open string or what we need to do to play the most difficult piece of the repertoire. After getting to know and listening to how my students play I propose a short and medium-term work plan. This plan is presented taking into account the objectives and wishes of each student. Exercises and pieces are included that will also allow to know the repertoire of the guitar. Therefore, each work plan includes specific and general contents.

Orson - Paris, France£36
Trusted teacher: Hello, my name is Orson, and I'm a Gold/Platinum-certified professional sound engineer and music producer working in studios in Paris, or from my home studio. I offer you a Complete Training in Mixing and Mastering of a music title. In this training, I will teach you how to mix and master a song from A to Z while explaining how to use this or that tool/plugin and in which situation. The goal is to do a good mix and mastering for streaming platforms, CDs, etc. In this training, I suggest you mix one of your songs. I will give you advice and methods used in the professional environment with the help of exercises and scenarios. I then ensure a follow-up after the training, that the students send me their work, in order to check and validate the achievements. I put pedagogy at the heart of my teaching: I progress at your own pace so that you fully understand the concepts learned during my lessons. For me, the most rewarding thing is to make the students progress as the lessons progress. I keep in touch with my former students to follow their progress and it is always a source of pride to see them carry out their projects. Even after class, I suggest you continue to send me pieces you are working on to give you my feedback and give you the best advice. I mainly work on Logic Pro, Pro Tools or Ableton, but the principles studied in the Training are applicable to any sound software. The training lasts 10H and can be divided into slots of 5H or 3H, 2H, etc. Possibility of formula 20H also according to your level! Contact me now to get to know each other and better organize your MAO learning :) See you soon :)

Trusted teacher: Hi! Thanks for showing an interest in my tuition! I've spent my entire adult life passionately obsessed with music and sound and now i take great pleasure in sharing my skills and techniques with anyone willing to learn... Nowadays its too easy to get a sample pack from here and a preset from there and effectively paint by numbers but what i teach is creative expression and how to make music your craft. The end result doesn't come as quickly or easily, but when it does its unmistakably yours. So! I run two courses. One for complete beginners, or those looking to formalise their skill set from the bottom up and one for more experienced producers who are looking to build on their technical knowledge and/or improve in certain areas of production. Below is some detailed information on both courses - //// Beginner (10 x 2 hour lessons) My beginner course has been carefully nurtured over the last 3 years to teach you the fundamental skills you’ll need to write unique, original and exciting electronic music. I don’t just teach you how to write D&B, or Techno. Instead i aim to teach the underlining language of music production and creativity. This will give you the freedom to evolve and grow as a producer in any direction you choose later on. Drawing from my own musical education, I start by teaching you one of the simplest forms of electronic music production. A style pioneered by the early hip hop producers and one that yields instantly impressive results. From there i will introduce you to all of the key techniques you will need to be a highly adaptable producer. Once completed, you will know how to make the music that is in your head and most importantly how to have loads of fun being creative with music and sound. Some of the key subjects we will cover are: * Ableton software training. * Drum programming, working with breakbeats and percussion. * How to dig for, and use samples from old records, film & tv * The language of synthesis and how to design sounds from scratch * Recording live sound and field recording FX (done using smartphon * How to arrange, mix and master tracks * Workflow, concept design and creative approaches. * (and most importantly) How to bring unique flare and originality to your music. //// Advanced (5 x 2 hour lessons) This course is aimed at experienced producers who are looking to improve in certain areas and broaden their skillset. There is no set curriculum for this type of course. They are designed based on the needs of the individual. We work together to establish key areas to focus on. I start by analysing your existing music to establish areas that can be improved on and i ask you to fill in a set of questions which outline your goals and things you would like to achieve. From there i devise a set of lesson that are as effective as possible and optimise our time together. /// The lessons are always 1-2-1 with myself and are conducted over Zoom. This works really well. We can share our screens and the computer audio. I also record each lesson so you can go back and rewatch tricks and techniques in your own time which is something that has proved to be super helpful to my students. /// All my students go away with roughly 10gb of samples from my own collection. I provide as and when they are relevant to a lesson or module. They are not commercially available sample packs. They are sounds i have designed or collected and many of them i have been using for 20 years! /// Last (but far from least!) Which is a place for my previous and existing students to give and receive track feedback, from myself and other members. And also where students can help each other with anything music related. I occasionally set fun production challenges and drop the odd useful set of sounds in there too. The group has nearly 200 members now and many of them collaborate together, meet for mixing sessions in London. And recently there has been talk of organising a record label and club night which is amazing! There is fun to be had and music to be made! If you are interested to know more and would like to meet me and discuss things further, please book yourself in for a 1 hour session where we can go over everything in detail and in a way that is relevant to you. Once we have a clear idea of the best course of action we can look at booking a course for you. /// Things you'll need for either course - Ableton Suite (3 month free trial available from their website or google 'ableton trial') A computer that is compatible with Ableton's system requirements (also found on their website) Some decent headphones (i use Audio Technica ath-m50x and highly recommend them) A decent internet connection. A quiet environment where you can concentrate Thanks and speak soon! George
