I have experience as a Music Teacher and Lecturer for schools and colleges, so I also offer help with GCSE and A-Level Music. I attend regular Safeguarding training and I have an advanced DBS on the update service. I also have experience working with children who have special educational needs and EHCP’s. Learning music and an instrument as well as being part of a group or ensemble, is about much more than becoming a performer. The skills and techniques learnt, are incredibly versatile for use in other subjects as well as being valuable life skills. I teach either at my home in Wimbledon or at the student's home. I'm happy to travel within the London metropolitan area but will adjust the price of the lessons according to the travel costs I incur. My schedule is very flexible and the lessons are to be arranged with the student on a weekly basis. Her presence is warm and supportive, and as someone who once feared singing lessons, I have to say I felt safe from the very beginning. She is incredibly patient and encouraging. Her attention to detail and deep insight into the craft make me feel supported throughout the learning process. She has an exceptional ability to articulate different modalities for approaching technical difficulties and employs ingenious visualizations to help understand the proper use of the body's mechanics. For every difficulty I encountered, she provided carefully chosen exercises tailored to address the issue.
