First, as a Math Teacher, my main aim is to encourage students to analyze the problem carefully and find different solutions for one question. This method helps students to choose the easiest way of solution for her/him during the exam and finish it in time. I teach students both ways how to solve questions without a calculator with math tricks, and how to use a calculator more effectively. As you know in the exam there might be non-calculator and calculator papers. Moreover, this ability helps students not only to understand the math subject deeply but also will be very helpful during their adult life. Having teaching experience (Math and Statistics) in one of the top universities in the US (UW-Madison) helped me see the path of a student from the school bench to the university auditorium. Only by working in both school and university, you can understand what is better to learn for a student to be helpful in the future university years and how to show the connection between the math SAT and math at the university level. Years of hands-on work experience and a keen interest in Math teaching as a profession (in both school and university), as a deep understanding of the connection between school and university Math have prepared me well to see the strengths and weaknesses of the student and how to use that strong side of a student to improve the gaps that student earned in her/his earlier years. In the Spring Semester, the course will focus on the new SAT test, using Kaplan,Pearson,Black Book, Khan Academy online, and classroom reading, vocabulary, grammar lessons and practice tests. Reading The goal for reading in this class is to read college level material closely and critically in order to answer difficult questions about the text. The Reading Section for the SAT requires students to answer evidence-based questions about a challenging reading selection in a timed setting. The class will prepare and practice for these reading passages and questions. Writing The goal for writing in this class is to prepare for the optional essay section on the new SAT which will be required by some colleges. Learning to plan and respond in writing quickly will help students on the SAT Writing test as well as other exams with writing including AP exams, college exams, SAT subject tests, etc. The new essay is an analysis essay based on a piece of text, so we will discuss and practice writing literary and rhetorical analysis. Math The goal for math in this class is to practice the types of questions asked on the SAT test and to learn how to avoid the most common mistakes.

Miss Sara is a very good teacher. She has a way to keep my 6 year old daughter engaged and encouraged while increasing her abilities in French. I have seen my daughter improve drastically. She challenges her and she started reading many words in the space of 3 months when she could not before in French. The exercises she gives touches a wide range of topics (syllables, vocabulary, sentance building etc) that has allowed my English speakig daughter to cope well in her French school environment. She started understanding what people say to her in French which is amazing.

Excellent teacher. I took Linear Algebra classes from Bibek. He came to the lessons always prepared beforehand which made the learning process a lot smoother and easier for me. He didn't only go through each concept and topic in detail but also made sure to illustrate every concept with supplementary exercises. His patient and detail-oriented teaching style helped me learn the core concepts of linear algebra from scratch. I am pretty sure one doesn't come across such a kind and understanding tutor that often. Thank you very much again Bibek for all your efforts!

She carefully researched needs of my daughter and prepared a worksheet based on her gaps and progress. This is really professional approach.
