Trusted teacher: Hey! Are you looking for a young, approachable yet meticulous tutor in Computer Science or Mathematics? Then I believe I might be the tutor for you! I offer lessons in the aforementioned subjects (English only) for high-school and bachelor students at the start of their studies. A little bit about me: My name is Bozhidar and I am a MSc Data Science student at ETH Zuerich. Last year, I completed my bachelor's in Computer Science at TU Delft (the #1 technical university in the Netherlands) with distinction. I was a teaching assistant for 10 courses during my stay at the university. Additionally, I have given private lessons to a few high school and bachelor's students, so I believe I have accumulated enough experience with guiding and tutoring students across different disciplines. I have found out that I enjoy teaching a lot, so that is why I am here - to help you and myself! My expertise: During my high school years, I won tens of awards and scholarships for achievements in Mathematics and Computer Science. I also won my high school's recognition award which is given to one student every year for distinctive results. I've helped high-school and university peers with exam preparation, taught whole courses privately, prepared sample exams, and reviewed and graded real ones. Regarding the university courses I have experience in, I have taught: - Object-Oriented Programming - Reasoning & Logic - Computer Organisation - Algorithms and Data Structures - Web and Database Technologies - Calculus - Information & Data Management - Automata, Computability and Complexity - Concepts of Programming Languages - Computational Intelligence Here are some of the reviews I have received as a teaching assistant: Overall: 4.97/5 (70 reviews) 5/5 - "Great job! Did far more than just explaining this example and went far deeper into the material, helping me to understand it." 5/5 - "Favourite TA. Always there for the difficult questions. Never leaves anything unanswered no matter how long it takes." 5/5 - "Delightful person with an insightful way of thought! Brilliant TA!" 5/5 - "Clear explanations and expert in the material" So, what are you waiting for? Write me a message and let's get the knowledge train running.

Trusted teacher: I specialize in tutoting calculus to international school students as well as national schools in Switzerland and Italy. My teaching method is a combination of theory and practice. The students can bring their own exercises to solve or to better understand. I provide students with extra exercises that can be done in class or as homework. The subject of the classes is the entire AP calculus program: 1) Limits and continuity: - Graphing and interpreting graphs (pre-calculus). - Limits and continuity. Finding limits algebraically or estimating them from numerical or graphical data. Continuity in terms of limits. - Intermediate Value Theorem and Extreme Value Theorem. - Vertical, horizontal, and oblique asymptotes. Limits involving infinity. 2) Derivates and rates of change: - Limit definition of the derivative and its relationship to continuity. - Derivative rules including the Power Rule, Product Rule, Quotient Rule, and Chain Rule. - Slope and tangent lines. - Linear approximation and differentials. - Instantaneous and average rates of change. Relationship among position, velocity, and acceleration functions. - Higher order derivatives. - Implicit Differentiation. - Analysis of Graphs based on both pre-calculus methods and derivative information. This includes finding intervals of increase/decrease, relative minima/maxima, intervals of concavity, and inflection points. - Mean value theorem and Rolle’s Theorem. - Applications of derivatives, including optimization and related rates. - Elementary differential equations and slope fields. 3) Integrals and Areas: - Antidifferentiation and indefinite integrals. - Techniques of antidifferentiation, including power rule, algebraic manipulation, and substitution. - Finite Riemann sums and their limits. Relationship to definite integrals. - The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus and definite integrals. - Trapezoid Rule and other methods for estimating area. - Exact area below a curve or between two curves, using definite integrals. - Volumes of solids of revolution, by washer method and shell method. - Accumulation functions. - Relationships between position, velocity, and acceleration using integrals. - Average value of a function over an interval. - Models for exponential growth and decay.

My 11 old daughter Sasha really likes to study math with Kevin, because he knows a lot of new things, that she didn't know and it's always interesting to work with him. Kevin and Sasha speak in German which is very important for us, as Sasha is preparing for the Swiss gymnasium. Our main goal to be ready for gymnasium math exam and we think that Kevin fits well for it.

Had my first lesson with Cuihong and really enjoyed it. She helped me with basic pronunciation (so good help for a complete beginner like me) and taught me some interesting tidbits. She was also very quick and reliable to answer my mails through Apprentus, and is a friendly person. Looking forward to continuing lessons with her!

We are just getting started, but our experiences with Oliver have been great so far. He is prompt to communicate, professional and very patient. He does a good job of understanding where my daughter is, helping her at her level, and not making her feel bad that she is having a tough time with Math. Highly recommend!
