Trusted teacher: Interested in Russian? Do you already have a little patience? a lot of passion? of curiosity and love for learning? all you need is to find a good teacher? You are in the right place :) I find it remarkable that my first student, starting 14 months after our first meeting, knows how to hold a good conversation in very difficult Russian and on various subjects and does not need to speak French at all to make me understand his ideas! It's a miracle? Or just the result of our work ?! Since then my teaching methodology has been enhanced by the chance to meet students from different countries, literally from all professional backgrounds and ages, with different interests, dreams, hobbies, needs. This year, one of my students was able to catch up with 2 years of learning Russian in 2 months and there he follows courses at the college with other schoolchildren for whom it is the 3rd year of learning the Russian language at school. So, are we breaking new records together? :) I'm not going to teach you these 'robot' phrases, my real intention is only to make you love the language, our culture, our traditions, to make you understand our logic, way of living, of seeing things and much sure to teach you to speak the language! Trusted teacher: Hi, My name is Katarina Viktoria and I am a multi-cultured music student. I was born in Latvia to a Ukrainian/Russian mother and a Swedish father. At the age of 3 we moved to Switzerland where I grew up in a German and Swiss German environment and these two languages became native to me. During my life in Switzerland we moved to the US for a year where I learned English and went to primary school. Later in life I moved to the Netherlands to study Classical Voice at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. I grew up in a big family with lots of kids (I have 9 siblings), I know how to communicate with kids of various ages and how to teach them in a playful matter. I love cpommunicating with people, which is also the base of my classes. How I build up my classes always depends on my student’s wishes, whether it’s the wish to improve their communication skills or to work on their grammar. I try to make my lessons as interesting as possible, using different exercises to playfully learn the language. I always aim for variations, we speak, we write, we read and we listen. I can also give homework and correct it, if that’s what the student wants. If the wish is only to communicate and to improve the pronounciation, that’s also fine by me. I love helping and supporting people in becoming their best version, so whatever makes you happy makes me happy :) I love seeing my students improve, it motivates me to go on and support them in their language skills even more!

I have been working with Andrey for about 2 months now, and I have to say he has been instrumental in my language learning journey. I have been working with him in different time zones across the world, and he has always been game to make something work -either taking appointments in the early afternoon, or the evenings. His understanding of French grammar and pronunciation, as well as his second to none note-taking skills, have allowed me to work on the parts of the French language that I struggle with most. He does all this while maintaining a relaxed and comfortable environment, where I feel ok to take things slower when I need to and transition back to English when necessary. It is honestly a pleasure to work with someone who understands how to teach the language to a native English speaker and has the materials to offer during the learning journey as well. No comment he gives, goes without thought, and I am thrilled to be working with someone who cares as much as I do about me becoming more comfortable with French.

Russian language from Beginner to Advanced Online and Offline (Amsterdam)

In terms of vocabulary, I had a good foundation through Duolingo. Decided to take one-to-one lessons with Palina to also improve grammar and listening and speaking skills. Now at lesson 4 and very happy with my choice :). After saying hello (in Russian of course) the lesson starts with a listening or speaking practice, followed by a short repetition of the grammar rule of the previous lesson and the introduction of a new grammar rule. Keep in mind, however, that the structure of lessons may depend on your level of Russian.

I really recommend katja for your violin classes!!! She's a very good teacher. Katja has a rich background in music and is able to adapt the class according to the level of the student. Her explanations and corrections to evolve are concreet and very well done, which makes things easier to understand. She makes you love music and violin. She has a good time notion and makes the hour of the class efficient as she makes you work on different things. She's also a very nice person! Enjoy your class with katja :)
