Trusted teacher: Studying currently at Leiden University College. I realized that taking the International Baccalaureate Programme (IB) during High School, not only prepared me for university but also equipped me with research and analysis skills, allowing me to be a better professional in the future. Nevertheless, I am aware that this programme is also extremely challenging, and most students, just as I did, need some guidance throughout the process. Here, I may come in to help you. During IB, some of the subjects I took were: 1) Psychology Standard Level (receiving 6 as my final examination grade) 2) Psychology Extended Essay (receiving A as my final examination grade) 3) English B Higher Level (receiving 7 as my final examination grade) 4) Polish A: Literature Standard Level (receiving 7 as my final examination grade) 4) Mathematics Analysis and Approaches Standard Level (receiving 6 as my final examination grade) 5) Biology Higher Level (receiving 5 as my final examination grade) 6) Theory of Knowledge Final Essay (receiving B as my final examination grade) I can be a mentor and serve as help for students writing their Internal Assessments in the subjects mentioned above, as well as when writing the Extended Essay in Psychology, or the Theory of Knowledge Essay. I may also tutor, in preparation for the exams, or to explain specific topics from: Psychology, Biology, Polish, English B, or Theory of Knowledge. I would also like to add that I lived in New Zealand for 6 years, and I am fluent in English. Please reach out if any further information is needed.

Trusted teacher: What are the sessions about? The sessions are to work on conversation in English through topics and content of psychology, well-being and self-help. The presentation is designed so that the person shares their comments on several occasions and elaborates responses using common vocabulary, improving conversation, fluency, vocabulary, and pronunciation. The content is on positive psychology topics, where tools for life are acquired through information and reflection exercises. Breathing techniques, mindfulness, gratitude, habits, resilience, flow state, resistance to change, and more are mentioned and used. Why use positive psychology content? According to several studies, including a study conducted by Cambridge in 2022, the best method to learn a language is through immersion (exposure and engagement). This means that when we learn topics or activities that interest us, the brain activates the prefrontal cortex, the striatum, the limbic system, and the hippocampus, which are the areas of long-term memory, motivation, concentration, reward, and emotional experience. These functions together create greater receptivity to new information. It is about talking about topics that motivate and interest us to enhance learning. They are also life tools that benefit us all. The more a person opens up to talking and reflecting on their personal experiences, whether positive or negative, the more they will be able to handle life's difficulties and improve their well-being. What level should I be at? Once you understand the written and/or spoken language, and can say the basics, we can start working. It doesn't matter if your level is basic, since that's exactly what the sessions are for. When you try to create a statement with interesting content, the areas of the brain that promote learning are activated. Here, through the chat, pronunciation and grammar are corrected, new vocabulary is added, and the correct way to say what is desired is taught. The person is asked to repeat the statement "correctly" and that's how learning takes place. How long will it take to see changes? The time varies for each person, as it depends on their initial level, and if the method is compatible with their way of learning. It is recommended to evaluate if this method is suitable for you, after the first session. However, due to previous experience with people at a basic - intermediate level, changes in fluency are seen from the first two or three sessions. From the first or second session you will notice more comfort when speaking and listening to the language. What mental health benefits can I get from sessions other than language? The sessions are taught by a clinical psychologist trained in positive psychology and other therapy methods. Some of them can be used in the sessions. The topics covered encourage conversations about personal life, and only if it is of interest to the person, can they delve into it and use this space to work on certain topics through psychological guidance. Additionally, information supported by scientific evidence will be provided, on tools for greater emotional well-being based on positive psychology, and reflection on mental and personal habits will be encouraged. Important: This is NOT, nor does it seek to replace, psychological therapy. Issues that require further exploration and/or external help will be referred to a therapy or a professional as appropriate. By what means can I take the session and how many frequencies do I need? Most sessions are via Zoom. The teacher will send you the link via WhatsApp or email and at the time of your session you can access it via a device. It is recommended once a week if the session is individual. You will notice that they are very complete and you may be a little tired after the session, if you are not very familiar with the language. If the session is in a group of two or more people, it can be once or twice a week. We will talk about many interpersonal topics in the session and we may follow up during the week by sharing relevant content via WhatsApp and voice notes, also in English for both parties to continue practicing fluency and vocabulary. It can be in person in Monterrey, Nuevo León in groups of 3 or more, or within the Republic for workshops.

Trusted teacher: There are times in our lives when we feel stuck, out of place, sad. Moments where we perceive that we need and want a change within our existence, because the present that we are living does not satisfy us and makes us feel uncomfortable. So we have ideas, desires, dreams that would allow us to get away from this reality that we don't like, we can't stand it and it makes us feel unhappy, but we lack the courage to make a decision and the fear of leaving our comfort zone doesn't allow us to go beyond, where happiness awaits us. So we end up in contexts and situations that create suffering for us, just because they became our little world, our bubble, where we feel protected and defended, but from where we want to flee the furthest away. possible. Situations like these that make us sad can be several: staying in toxic relationships (partners, family, friends, work); not knowing how to say no; not being able to set limits; difficulty living in the present; fear of leaving the comfort zone; inability to follow our dreams and goals; a shyness that prevents us from being ourselves. All this and much more prevents us from achieving happiness, being the best version of ourselves and making our dreams come true. How can we achieve all this? Let me introduce myself, my name is Nicola, I am a certified Psychologist, Mental Coach and Emotional Coach. I strongly believe that Coaching is a very powerful tool, with which a person can be accompanied to achieve their desires and turn their objectives and goals into reality. We all have the right to be happy; we all have the right to fulfill our dreams; We all deserve to find again the capacities and abilities that live within us, and that have remained silent since we were children, but that want to burn like a flame that wants to reach the sky. So, we begin to transform and I have... In I want; we erase the false beliefs that do not allow us to flourish; let's put ourselves first in our lives; We do not listen to criticism or the opinions of others, but our own intuition; And last, but not least, let's love each other very, very much, because we are the most important person in our lives. I would love to be able to accompany you on this journey of growth, and to be able to offer you a safe and protected space, where you could freely express your emotions and feelings, without feeling judged and hurt. A space where you could perceive empathy and active listening and achieve your goals and objectives, leaving aside the part of you that is not allowing it to do so and thus acquire new learning and above all get in touch with the part of your personality that from time, ask to emerge. Because starting is already being halfway there and it is beyond fear that we can find happiness.
