Piano lessons and solfège for beginners young and old!

The content of the lessons is adapted to the needs and wishes of each student. It is possible to follow a combination of music theory and instrument, or only focus on one aspect. Depending on the student's goal, the level, teaching method and music styles are adjusted and personalized in consultation. Together we will look at what your learning needs are and which method suits you best. I am familiar with different styles for both harp and piano, from classical music (baroque, impressionism, classicism, romanticism and contemporary music), to folk music, jazz standards, pop songs or minimalist music. There is also the option to work from improvisations. The lessons are suitable for all ages and levels, the personal profile of the student is central.

And I completed my Postgraduate at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels. I can help you! I've been playing the piano for about 15 years now after my Pop & Jazz education, and I've done quite a few performances in all kinds of genres. In addition, I also obtained a degree in Electronic Music Production at Point Blank Music School, and I am currently active as a keyboard player and producer. I mainly play pop music, but we can certainly look at other genres as well. For piano lessons I recommend 30 minutes so that we can cover new topics each lesson that you can then practice at home. For Ableton Live, 60 minutes is more suitable if you want to get the hang of it quickly, but you can certainly learn it in 30 minutes per lesson. Interested? What do people expect from a good Music School? Decent education: From the outset, the Wonderful World Music School opted for an offer based on highly qualified qualified teachers who could be engaged and not vice versa. This immediately guarantees that the program (the same as the official part-time music education and the Municipal Conservatories) is followed in a proper manner. Personal assistance: Musicschool Wonderful World chose a smart way of coaching. In addition to individual lessons, where the student gets all the attention, they consciously choose to keep the classroom lessons small. In this way, lessons can also be given in a quasi-individual way. This results in a more intensive form of teaching, which requires fewer lessons than in official part-time music education to process the same subject material. We offer great flexibility in choice of teaching hours package. Each pupil has the choice to take lessons for 1/2 hour or one hour (or more) per week. 1 h. lesson every 14 days is also possible. Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music." Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (USA). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.
