Dear violinists, My name is Maria and the violin has been my personal companion in life for 16 years. In addition to performing and studying, I am passionate about teaching. I am currently completing my bachelor's degree and will soon start studying for a master's degree in education at the Zurich University of the Arts. I already have experience and have been teaching since 2020. I offer violin lessons for children and adults (beginners and advanced) in the canton of Zurich. I use the methods with which I learned, such as books like Suzuki, Czerni, etc., always adapted to the student's age and level. The student's musical preferences will also be taken into account for learning pieces or songs they enjoy. There will also be an emphasis on public performances, as this is one of the most challenging aspects for musicians. We will try to organize concerts or recitals in a family setting to practice this skill. Finally, motivation will be reinforced by preparing duets (two violins, violin and piano, violin and guitar, etc.), as this is one of the most effective methods for improving skill level.

Over the past 20 years, I have had the privilege of teaching students from diverse nationalities and backgrounds. I have worked with students from various schools, including local Hong Kong schools, Hong Kong International School, Kowloon Junior International School, and the French International School etc. I am adaptable and capable of teaching students with different personalities, whether they are highly energetic or more reserved. I also teach adults, adjusting the class to their interests and needs. During the lessons, the student will also learn music theory integrated with the instrument class.
