A LIVING METHOD Whether you are a beginner or more advanced, I will help you progress in Latin or ancient Greek, which you will learn as a living language: it will not be primarily a question of translating Latin or Greek, but above all of speaking it, reading it, writing it! FORGET YOUR DICTIONARY By doing so, you will memorize vocabulary and grammatical structures much more easily than with the classic method based essentially on translation. You will no longer spend your life in the dictionary, and eventually, you will read your favorite authors like an open book! LATIN I essentially offer a living Latin course based on the Orberg method, acclaimed by thousands of Latinists around the world. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced, I can accompany you on the chapters corresponding to your level of Familia Romana (first volume) or Roma Aeterna (second volume). It is therefore important that you get this book. If you want to work on Familia Romana, I also highly recommend that you purchase the Vivarium Novum workbook to consolidate your learning: volume I for chapters I to XIX, volume II for chapters XX to XXXIV. GREEK For Greek, we will use the Logos method. It will be up to the student to obtain a copy of this manual. A LA CARTE COURSES However, I am attentive to pupils and students who are waiting for more conventional methods, particularly in the context of preparing for the baccalaureate, the competitive examinations for the grandes écoles, or even the agrégation. Version, theme, explanation of an old text: all these exercises are well known to me for having practiced them for many years. It is also possible to build a course based on your desires (excluding erotic texts and magic manuals). Do you want to follow one method rather than another? Discover a particular author? Tell me! Be careful, however, to remain realistic! We do not tackle Xenophon or Titus Livius without a solid level. Do not hesitate to contact me for any request. NB: I do not offer translation services, and even less for tattoos. Thank you for your understanding.

This course is tailored for IGCSE Computer Science and ICT students who want to master all the key topics in their curriculum. With a focus on practical programming skills, theoretical computer science concepts, and hands-on problem-solving, this class will guide you through the essential topics covered in the IGCSE syllabus. Learn the fundamentals of data representation, hardware and software, databases, and Boolean logic, and then build on those concepts with programming and algorithm design. Gain a deep understanding of the inner workings of computers and their applications in real-world scenarios. By the end of this course, you will have a solid understanding of key computer science concepts and the practical skills to succeed in your IGCSE exams and beyond. What You’ll Learn: Data Representation: Learn how computers represent and process data, including binary, hexadecimal, and conversions between number systems. Data Transmission: Understand how data is transmitted over networks, focusing on packet switching, USB, and data packets. Hardware & Software: Gain a foundational understanding of computer hardware components and the role of software in running programs. Boolean Logic: Explore logic gates, truth tables, and Boolean expressions, and apply them to solve complex problems. Algorithm Design: Learn to design algorithms and solve problems using effective computational methods. Programming: Master the basics of programming with hands-on coding in Python, C++, and C#. Databases: Understand database structures, SQL queries, and primary keys. Build single-table databases and learn data management techniques.

In the IGCSE and CIE (Cambridge International Education)curricula, Genetics is a part of Biology under the broader topics of inheritance and variation. It is covered in both IGCSE Biologyand AS/A Level Biology. Below is a breakdown of what you can expect in each: IGCSE Biology (Cambridge - 0610/0970) The topic of genetics is introduced under the following key areas: 1. Variation and Inheritance - Genetic variation: Understanding differences caused by genetic and environmental factors. - Inheritance: - Definition of key terms: genes, alleles, dominant, recessive, homozygous, heterozygous, phenotype, genotype. - Monohybrid inheritance (using Punnett squares to predict offspring ratios). - Concepts of dominant and recessive traits. - Structure of DNA: - Basic structure of DNA (double helix) and its role in carrying genetic information. - Mutations: - Causes (e.g., radiation, chemicals) and effects of mutations on organisms. 2. Selective Breeding and Genetic Engineering (basic concepts): - Selective breeding in animals and plants to produce desired traits. - Introduction to genetic modification (GM), though details are limited in IGCSE. --- CIE AS and A Level Biology (9700) At the A Level, genetics is covered in greater depth. Key concepts include: 1. DNA and Protein Synthesis: - Structure of DNA, RNA, and nucleotides. - Transcription, translation, and protein synthesis. - Genetic code and its universal nature. 2. Cell Division: - Mitosis and meiosis. - Significance of meiosis in genetic variation (crossing over, independent assortment). 3. Inheritance: - Mendelian genetics: monohybrid and dihybrid crosses. - Codominance and multiple alleles. - Sex-linked inheritance (e.g., haemophilia, color blindness). - Pedigree analysis. 4. Gene Technology: - Recombinant DNA technology (genetic modification and cloning). - Applications of genetic engineering in medicine and agriculture. 5. Mutations: - Gene mutations and their effects. - Chromosomal abnormalities. 6. Variation and Selection: - Natural selection and evolution. - Role of genetic variation in populations. --- Summary - At the IGCSE level, genetics focuses on basic concepts of inheritance, variation, DNA structure, and simple Punnett square problems. - At the AS/A Level, the depth increases significantly, introducing advanced topics like meiosis, protein synthesis, genetic engineering, and natural selection.
