I am a graduate of flute performance and instrumental pedagogy and a certified music physiologist. I have experience teaching in both private as well as public educational system, working with children up to 18 years old. I perform solo, in chamber groups as well as in orchestras - to complement my artistic activity, I research scientifically in the interdisciplinary field of science & medicine in arts. I offer performance preparation for competitions, auditions, concerts with any type of repertoire/ genre - we will work on your individually set artistic, expressive and instrumental goals to reach them together. I base my teachings on the fundaments of performance science, including technics, exercises and tools from music physiology and psychology, to provide you with the most optimal and balanced learning experience. After studying violin and piano in Boston, at New England Conservatory with Eric Rosenblith, Master Classes with Dorothy DeLay, chamber music with Leslie Parnas and Burton Fine, as well as other Juilliard teachers and studies with Robert Soetens in France, I have been fortunate to enjoy over twenty years of teaching violin, viola and piano students. I am currently teaching in Central Florida as well as online through my Unique Musicality curriculum business. My initial studio experience began during my education at New England Conservatory, where I began teaching young students in the Boston area. Later, I was able to give master classes, private and group lessons in France and Asia as a member of touring orchestras. I currently teach lessons as well as providing master classes for select students and organizations. For the past two summers, I was a coach and performer at the Assisi Performing Arts Chamber Music Festival in Assisi, Italy. I have also been a judge in various Youth Symphony competitions as well as civic organizations that hold music competitions, such as the Kiwanis Club Arts and Music competition. My students have achieved entrance into summer conservatory programs including Peabody’s Music Summer Camp, Emory University’s Atlanta Chamber Music Festival, Franklin Pond Summer Intensive Chamber music program, Assisi Italy Performing Arts Chamber Music Festival, as well as continuing their college studies at Music Schools and Conservatories.
