I'm currently finishing my master's degree in opera singing at the MUK and I use my knowledge to sing pop, jazz, funk... and so on, accompanied by my guitar/keyboard. Guitar (Acoustic/Electric) lessons for beginner or advanced players focusing on finger placement, strumming, understanding groove and chord placement. Students will learn to care for their instrument as well as tuning the guitar. A guitar player since early age I have an immense passion for this beautiful instrument and the will to share my knowledge with who ever shares this passion. I am also a Music Producer and a session player for various projects ranging from blues/country/folk/rock/pop/R&B/soul/jazz.

As a student at the renowned MUK University in Vienna, it is my dream to share my passion through teaching. I offer lessons for all ages and skill levels, with a focus on progress and motivation. Hi, I'm Karoline! I have a Bachelor of Education from the University of Music and performing arts Vienna and have been teaching for several years. Whether you are a complete beginner (of any age) or have been playing for many years - my lessons will be customized to fit you personal needs and goals. For me the most important thing is to pass down my passion for the instrument and music and to teach you how to be confident with your instrument. I can also prepare you for exams (i.e. entrance exams for a music university) and teach lessons in music theory and ear training. In my lessons I like to occasionally use methods from elementary music education, which focuses on musical expression. That way you can practice to express yourself and your feelings on the instrument and the typical fear of mistakes is being avoided. I teach in a beautiful room with a grand piano near the Belvedere. This class will offer you the possibility to start or continue your studies in the world of music and piano, as well as an specialization in accompaniment (singers or instrumentalists) if you are already in an advanced level. I also offer interactive classes for children, mixing music and body expression, combining it with a technical and musical piano base.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

For beginners wanting to delve into music theory to amateurs preparing for exams, this class will be suitable whatever standard you are. Through the forms of visual, practice and reading, you can learn the very basics of music theory and build upon your knowledge. This class can guide students currently preparing for ABRSM Grade 5 or 8 and will prepare you to take the exam. This class will cover the basics of reading and understanding sheet music, scales, modes, key signatures, learning intervals, chord symbols, progressions and many more!

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons.
