I am a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music has been featured in publications such as The Huffington Post, BBC and WRAL. I have written and co-written songs that have accumulated tens of millions of streams. I am represented by Kobalt/AWAL (Lauv, Bruno Major, Tom Misch), Maximal Music Sync (Candi Staton, North Star Media), Music Table South Korea, and Sixtyfour Music London and have co-written with Richard Walters (Declan J Donovan, 3lau, Alison Moyet, Grey's Anatomy, CSI) and breakout Dutch artist Judy Blank. Alongside releasing my own material, I am also a session pianist, writer and guitar player who has worked for many clients in studios both in Europe and the States, as well as on tours worldwide including major festival slots and tours in the UK, Europe and the States. ---------- I primarily am interested in teaching people to develop their own sense of artistic identity, and am keen to mentor pupils who are already making headway in their own progress as a musician or in the music industry. I am able to offer key insights into the industry that many other teachers aren't able to, and I am passionate about people who are passionate about music. I consider my experience incredibly valuable to those serious about making headway in the industry and see my classes to be more of a personal and bespoke teaching service than traditional piano/guitar lessons, and have a slightly higher price point accordingly. I have also achieved Grade 8 (ABRSM) in piano. I am moving back to Vienna in April, and will be taking on students from mid-April onwards. ---------- I have been tutoring for the past 6 years, and have had pupils of all skill levels and ages. I have taken pupils through traditional grading in the UK (both ABRSM and Rockschool) and also taught people who are only interested in learning an instrument vocationally. Over these years I have helped pupils develop proficiency and passion in piano, guitar, songwriting, production, as well as offering advice on booking tours, forming bands, and helping develop a sense of musical identity. ---------- My approach to each client is unique, but I primarily focus on encouraging artistic expression and open communication in my sessions. Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student. My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music." Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (USA). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts. I give private piano lessons for all levels and styles (classical, jazz, Latin, new age, pop...), as well as music theory, composition and improvisation lessons. I am a concert pianist currently living in Philadelphia! I am proud to have more than 20 awards from international piano competitions. I’m back in the states in Summer 2024. Here is my story: I started out as a jazz pianist but began dedicating myself to classical music around the age of 14. Two years later I was accepted to the prestigious Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory. I lived in Russia until the age of 18, and even back then I had major success in international piano competitions. I moved to the US to study with a Van Cliburn Gold medalist under a full scholarship at Park University. I later got my Master’s in piano performance at Yale University. While in the US, I played all over the country and won close to ten international piano competitions. During the past two years I have lived in Germany, where I tried to absorb as much experience as possible about the German piano tradition. I am a U.S. green card holder now. My strategy is to teach you to practice as efficiently as possible. Most people are wasting their time practicing the instrument, then get frustrated and eventually abandon it. I will show you how to make your practicing meaningful. The goal is to make it easier and more enjoyable, not harder. I would describe my approach as hands-on, but I am willing to give students as much freedom as they choose. I often ask my students to send me a video recording of their performance so that we can track progress and discuss our goals and objectives together. I send a detailed lesson summary and practice instructions at the end of every lesson. I try to be polite but straightforward. My job is to encourage you but also be clear about what is getting in your way. I am a perfectionist and encourage my students to push the bar as high as is possible at the moment. Although I have experience as a jazz pianist, my formal training is as a classical pianist and I prefer to offer only classical music lessons, yet the repertoire can range from early baroque to the most recent contemporary.
