Do you love the beautiful sound of the cello, would you like to play your favorite song or piece or join an ensemble or orchestra? I offer individually designed cello lessons for music lovers of all ages. My location is Vienna Ottakring/Hernals. Entry is possible at any time, appointments are made very flexibly. I bring with me an artistic and pedagogical education at the music universities in Graz and Vienna, as well as many years of professional experience and enthusiasm for music and cello! I am a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music has been featured in publications such as The Huffington Post, BBC and WRAL. I have written and co-written songs that have accumulated tens of millions of streams. I am represented by Kobalt/AWAL (Lauv, Bruno Major, Tom Misch), Maximal Music Sync (Candi Staton, North Star Media), Music Table South Korea, and Sixtyfour Music London and have co-written with Richard Walters (Declan J Donovan, 3lau, Alison Moyet, Grey's Anatomy, CSI) and breakout Dutch artist Judy Blank. Alongside releasing my own material, I am also a session pianist, writer and guitar player who has worked for many clients in studios both in Europe and the States, as well as on tours worldwide including major festival slots and tours in the UK, Europe and the States. ---------- I primarily am interested in teaching people to develop their own sense of artistic identity, and am keen to mentor pupils who are already making headway in their own progress as a musician or in the music industry. I am able to offer key insights into the industry that many other teachers aren't able to, and I am passionate about people who are passionate about music. I consider my experience incredibly valuable to those serious about making headway in the industry and see my classes to be more of a personal and bespoke teaching service than traditional piano/guitar lessons, and have a slightly higher price point accordingly. I have also achieved Grade 8 (ABRSM) in piano. I am moving back to Vienna in April, and will be taking on students from mid-April onwards. ---------- I have been tutoring for the past 6 years, and have had pupils of all skill levels and ages. I have taken pupils through traditional grading in the UK (both ABRSM and Rockschool) and also taught people who are only interested in learning an instrument vocationally. Over these years I have helped pupils develop proficiency and passion in piano, guitar, songwriting, production, as well as offering advice on booking tours, forming bands, and helping develop a sense of musical identity. ---------- My approach to each client is unique, but I primarily focus on encouraging artistic expression and open communication in my sessions. I value the ability to give others the opportunity to create, and I like to treat my lessons as a safe space for ideas, for singing, for performing, and for chatting about all things musical. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. I also give documents and homework every end of a session in order to allow my students to practice. Wolof is the most spoken language in Senegal, Gambia where it has been enriched by the contributions of other dialects, Arabic and French, which remains the official language. It is experiencing a cultural expansion in the country and is also present in Gambia and Mauritania. So to facilitate your integration into Senegalese, Gambian society; it is essential to go through this language because it is the vernacular although there are several beautiful local Senegal- Gambian languages ​​but Wolof remains the most used language. this is why I propose to teach the beauty of this language which is my specialty and my mother tongue, I also teach Senegalese and Gambian culture and civilization. Learning Wolof offers anyone who wishes to get to know Senegal, in a professional, cultural or touristic context, to establish privileged contact with its population.
