Graduated from the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève and professor at the Neuchâtel Music Conservatory, I give lessons for all ages and levels. I have twelve years of experience and I love my job! My priority is to establish a relationship of trust with my students, and to teach them to generate a beautiful sound thanks to an adequate and comfortable posture. Very quickly notions of music theory and expression of emotions arrived. I accompany all my students on the piano by seeking that they have both clear information and pleasure in their learning. Each year, I organize several opportunities to play in public.

Hi! My name is Alina, I am 22 years old, and I would like to offer you cello lessons. Let me tell you about my education. I completed my bachelor’s degree at the Poznańs Music Academy in Poland, and this year I will finish my master’s degree in Bolzano, Italy. In addition, I completed a three-year pedagogical course in Poland, so I am confident in my abilities to be a good teacher for both adults and children. On my lessons, we can work together to develop a pathway for achieving your professional goals or also learn playing for your personal pleasure.

My goal is to discover the beauty of the cello, for anyone of any age, and at any level! I am already looking forward to meeting you and I hope we can share together in music! Renting a cello can be seen as a complex task, but finding a cello to rent is actually very simple! I can also help with research. I started playing the cello at 5 and a half years old. I obtained my certificate at the Conservatory of Music of Geneva in 2019 and my Bachelor of Arts at the Haute École de Musique in 2022. I obtained my Master of Pedagogy in June 2024.

I am a young experienced and enthusiastic cello teacher. In the past few years, I have been teaching in the UK at the Royal College of Music Junior Department in London, in primary schools, and privately. I am new to Geneva and I have just started my new teaching job at Ecolint, International School of Geneva. I teach children age 5-10, teenagers and adults. My teaching approach is to give the passion for music while building technical abilities and confidence. Discipline is important, and so is fun ! In the past, I have created cello ensembles for young children and I hope to be able to develop the same teaching outfit in Geneva as I had in London. I can teach in English or in French, the ABC system or the Do-Re-Mi system, and work towards various goals including ABRSM exams, concerts, etc. I am fluent in English as I was in London for over 10 years and French is my native language. Learn to improvise, jam and create your own music. I am a cellist, composer and improviser specialising in working with string players to unlock and devlop creative potential. I will work with you to deveop a bespoke course to help you develop skills in improvisation. Areas covered: Jazz improvisation - Blues, Standards, Harmony, Bass Lines, Finding Chords, Building and Creating Solos, Elarnig repertoire. Baroque Imrpovisation - Ground Bass, Partimento realisation and developing cadenzas for classical repertoire Free/Folk and other styles - we can explore any styles of improvisation, and discuss how to develop your skills. I am a professor of Imrpovisation at the Royal Colege of Music in London, and a composer and performer of my own music internationally.

Student at the Haute École de Musique de Genève and graduate of the Lyon Conservatory, I offer home lessons for all ages and all levels, in Geneva and its surroundings (TPG). The training is adapted according to the student's objectives, and the repertoire according to their tastes. Notions of harmony are cultivated through play thanks to pieces with accompaniment. Finally, I am particularly attached to the ideas of pedagogy and transmission.

I am Zhanshu, a cellist from China with extensive experience in cello playing and music education. I previously obtained my Postgraduate Diploma at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the UK and then completed my Master's degree at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Germany. I currently teach at several music schools and have experience teaching students of all ages and ability levels. Through my many years of teaching practice, I have gained valuable experience and can develop an individually tailored curriculum for each student. I offer flexible lesson times, which can be booked in different lengths (30, 45, 60, 90 minutes). I believe that every student has a unique musical potential, so I always adapt my lessons to the needs and goals of my students to help them progress in both technique and musical expression.

I have been teaching classes continuously for more than 10 years and I would like to explain what you can find in a class with me! - To begin with, the most important thing is to know what you want to achieve. I would like to focus the classes according to what you need. For example, we will not put the same level of demand if you want to play for pleasure at home without haste or if you want to do some entrance exams to musical studies (although always with the same good rigor). The needs of each student can vary the methodology, the way of organizing the study sessions, the postural work, the repertoire... - Once we know what we want to achieve and by when, classes will begin in a relaxed atmosphere. Important! Relaxed is not equal to undemanding or rigorous, just that we will try not to resort to military methods, especially given my character and sense of humor ;). - Something important to note is that my methods are very dynamic and with special emphasis on the development of the ear and musicality. No reading, spitting and changing songs. I try to avoid methods that focus too much on the continuous reading of scores without memorizing, listening or understanding what is being done and why, especially so that later you can make your own aesthetic decisions and feel ownership of your performance. Alert! Maybe I'll even make you sing. - Last but not least, it should be noted that given my training (I studied classical music and modern music and jazz at the Taller de Músics) my tendency will be to give the same importance to different types of music. We will adapt to your tastes and needs, but for me we can go from baroque to blues, from blues to Haydn's sonatas, from Haydn to bebop and from bebop to Michael Jackson. Why not? Music is very interesting both as a profession and as a hobby, but in the beginning we all have difficulties when it comes to playing an instrument. But with a little guidance and a bit of patience you can get the desired results... it's proven :) My name is Paula, I love teaching and working with enthusiastic people, because as I said, teaching others is actually teaching yourself ;). My bachelor's degree at the Conservatory of Ghent (Belgium) taught me what music interpretation is. At the Peter Cornelis Conservatory I learned the important basics of cello and music teaching. In recent years I have gained a lot of experience teaching cello in individual and group lessons as well as in string class lessons. The way of teaching will suit the level of the student (for beginners I divide the lessons into two parts: half basic music theory and the other half cello), and I will always have my cello with me to illustrate. Ussually, my lesson programme is start with a short warm up (technique exercises) to continue with different cello pieces chosen by the students. I have a lot of pop and actual music cello pieces for all levels. In addition, I'm familiar with methods like ABRSM, Suzuki, Feuillard, Duport, Popper and Piatti.
