Hello and welcome ! My name is Charlotte, I am a singing teacher and professional opera singer. I graduated from the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris at the highest level with honours and I have a Masters in Opera Singing from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, where I have won several prizes. I am the recipient of a prestigious scholarship from the Malvina and Denise Menda Foundation of the Fondation de France. I also have a BA in Art History from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Art History from the Courtauld Institute. I teach the principles of vocal technique that form the basis of all singing styles: finding an ideal posture and alignment of the body and the air column and eliminating unnecessary tension; optimizing breathing and support (singing with the whole body); beauty and homogeneity of the voice in all registers (homogeneity especially in lyrical singing); clear and precise articulation in all languages. Of course, these bases adapt differently depending on the styles and offer keys to freeing the voice, and not to restricting the singer! My teaching is holistic and I take into account the whole person with great sensitivity. The voice is at the center of the body and mind, and singing unifies the two. I deeply believe in the well-being that singing brings and its power to release. My life as an artist began as a classical dancer (I was a dancer in the young dancers program at the Royal Opera House, London) and this taught me a good awareness of my body and how to transmit it to others. Singing is mastered by listening to one's body. I also practice meditation and yoga at a high level and I transmit these techniques of connection to the body and breath, and the state of relaxation that they bring. In my teaching, accuracy, solfege and precision are very important. I was first a violinist and I was a member of one of the prestigious choirs of the University of Cambridge during my degree. So I have a good ear that developed further during these trainings. Singing is above all communication and my mission is to allow everyone to express their authentic and unique voice. I am passionate about theater and the art of communicating our sincere emotions and those of the characters we play. Vocal technique gives us the means, but it is the connection to oneself and to the meaning of the music and the text that allows us to express ourselves fully and sincerely. It is a work that fascinates me as much as that of vocal technique. All the more so, the connection to emotion broadens the palette of colors of the voice, without which we can only produce beautiful sound. My classes usually last an hour. Typically, I start my classes with breathing exercises and body observation. We continue with warm-ups and vocalizations to work on technique. Then we work on the repertoire of your choice. I am a professional lyric soprano graduated from the CNSM of Lyon. I participate in productions with the Concert d'Astrée, the Choir of Namur, Accentus, the Opéra National de Lorraine, Choir de la Chapelle Harmonique. I am also on the lists of the Montpellier Opera, Concert Spirituel, Ensemble Correspondances and Radio France choir. I have just finished a production of Haydn's Die Schöpfung at the Opéra National de Lorraine last January-February, conducted by Marta Gardolinska (Guillaume Fauchère choir director), directed by Kevin Barz. I sang solo and in chorus the role of the Trojan woman in Campra's Idomenée in 2021 at the Lille Opera and the Berlin Staatsoper, staging of the fura dels baus, I also sang the solo of Campra's Requiem at the philharmonies of Luxembourg, Lille, Essen Cologne and Berlin with the Concert d'Astrée in 2019 directed by Emmanuelle Haïm. In 2019, I participated in the production of Les Indes Galantes by Rameau with the Namur Choir at the Opera Bastille, directed by Leonardo Garcia Alarcon and directed by Clement Cogitore. In 2022, I participated in numerous productions, notably with the Accentus choir in Beethoven's 9th symphony, the missa solemnis or even a polyphonic baroque project. In 2022 I participated in the production of Hulda by Cesar Franck with the Namur Choir at the Grand Manège de Namur, the Liège Philharmonic and the Théatre des Champs Elysées. My background as well as my skills in lyrical singing allow me to master my instrument well. I am a very curious and very patient person, and I like to find solutions to problems. Transmitting my passion to students wishing to discover or develop their voices, discover their artistic personality would be a great pleasure for me. If I can transmit this joy that I have from singing as well as my acquired knowledge, it would be a great exploration for them as for me.

I specialise in Classical singing, however I teach a full range of styles, as they all derive from classical technique. Genres/Styles taught: Operatic, Classical, Pop, Musical Theatre, Jazz I teach all variety of styles, from beginners to conservatoire. So if you are wanting to sing for fun or are looking to do your grade 8 theory. I am the teacher for you! Each lesson is completed tailored to the individuals needs and desires in the lesson, to help every student get the most out of each lesson. I am a professional opera singer who has a first-class undergraduate degree from the Royal Academy of Music, Masters Degree from the Royal College of Music and have performed all over the world, including the Sydney Opera House. I also have over 8 years of experience in teaching. The experience I have from my training and professional career is perfect for helping you unlock your full potential as a singer. Each lesson is designed and structured for each individual so that the student can gain the most from each lesson, helping them to improve lesson by lesson.

As a lyrical singer I had the opportunity to perform at an international level but also to continue to teach my profession. My "teacher creed" In vocal pedagogy, I would say that I always find myself "face to face" with a new and unique instrument - the voice: each student is unique and that is why we must look for individual didactic and methodological tools. This means that I am able to lead a singing lesson in different ways so that I can find the vocal exercises or personalized and appropriate pieces of music to get the most out of each student. My vocal technique is based on breathing exercises, awareness of the whole body as an instrument, knowledge of the biological principles of breathing as well as the artistic meaning of breathing. My basic goals are: to maintain a feeling of high position while singing (singing with resonance), binding purely distinctive vowels (legato singing), developing the range of a voice step by step and balancing the vocal registers. While "building" the voice, I take the assessment and development of a student's personality seriously, which I think is undeniable in arts education. It also consists in knowing the appropriate repertoire according to the vocal development of each student.

A graduate of the CRR de Paris in lyrical singing, holder of a degree in music and musicology from the University of Paris-Sorbonne, a Master's degree in Performance with distinction from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and a diploma professional studies from the Mannes School of Music in New York, I offer opera singing lessons as well as piano and music theory lessons suitable for all levels. Sensitive to sharing and individual aspirations, I design personalized courses that combine technique and pleasure. I also offer support classes for conservatory students. For me, each student is different and deserves a personalized approach. I always start my lessons with a little warm-up before doing technical and musical work on the songs. After a few sessions we establish with the student a "plan of attack" defining the short, medium and long term objectives. More interested in pop than lyric? Not a problem ! That is to say .... I do not push your voice to do anything else. I remove bad habits, I ban your involuntary effects that you do not control ... The goal is to make you discover your natural tone, thanks to my vocal technique acquired with Thalia Carouza, director of the school of the natural voice and professional lyric singer. I ́m a profesional Opera Singer, who is also giving lessons in vocal technique since 7 years. This class is for begginers and intermedium level singers who want to improve the manage of their voices. The class starts with different vocalizations and breathing exercises to warm the body and start to understand how the voice works. Then we start to sing in order to apply the new concepts to different songs. The class its adaptable to every pupil, because everyone has their one vocal history, which means, they have different problem, which need differents aproaches.

Hey, I am a professional opera singer and a highly educated vocal teacher currently working as a soloist at the Opera of Cologne in Germany. I am a very dedicated and passionate singing teacher with almost 8 years of experience in the profession. I approach my students with great attention and care and together we achieve wonderful results! I hold a Master of Music in Opera degree with Distinction from the Dutch National Opera Academy in Amsterdam; a Master of Music with Distinction degree in Vocal Perfomance from the Royal College of Music in London; and a Bachelor of Music degree with Honours in Vocal Pedagogy from the Moscow University of the Humanities. I teach students of all ages and abilities, preparing them for vocal exams and auditions or simply helping them find and develop their voices for everyday life. Teaching voice is my true passion, I always work closely with each student and tailor my lessons according to my student's needs and wishes. During our lessons we will focus on developing a proper singing technique which will allow you to perform a wide range of repertoire from operatic arias and musical theater to pop songs. My classes are different depending on your level and age. With children from 7 to 12, we start by doing easy vocalization and start training the ear with intonation, we then have fun singing your favorite songs. With teenagers, I also start with some vocalization, a little more elaborate. Depending on the student's capabilities, we start establishing a comfortable range for them and then proceed to singing. For my older students ideally, I divide our lesson into 2 sections. We work on respiration and how the diaphragm works. We do scales and arpeggios and work on intonation. We then proceed to singing and putting into practice our technique. Some students might need more technique before they actually sing, I like to take things slowly and make sure the student feels confident and comfortable singing. I teach children, teenagers, and adults, from beginners to more advanced. Classical training enables you to sing in any kind of way, so don’t hesitate and let’s sing!
