I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training, I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory classes for 6 years because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share some knowledge of music theory along with the violin lessons. Lessons are private and not in groups.

I have been playing classical piano for 14 years. Obviously a lot solo, but also in ensembles, as an accompanist for flutists, violinists, clarinetists and singers. I was also a paid rehearsal director and pianist for a music theater company for a while and I played concerts in an orchestra. More importantly, I also enjoy teaching! Whether you are just starting out or have been working for some time, together we can tinker with your technique and execution.

I am an experienced professional harpsichordist with artistic activity participating in numerous of events festivals. I have a six years of experience in teaching individual lessons. Harpsichord music repertoire is extremely rich and there are plenty of wonderful pieces for all levels. So even if you are a beginner I promise you will not get bored! You will learn how to ornament and decorate the melody. Baroque music is a lot about ornamentation. Emphasis will be given of course on expression and musicality. A big part of the harpsichordists job is to play the basso continuo. This mean that you will learn to improvise instantly in given base lines.

I am Ana Marquez (23 years old), violinist and music teacher from Spain based in the Netherlands, last May I completed my studies at the HKU Utrecht Conservatory. I started my musical education at the age of 6 in Málaga, my birthplace. I followed the Suzuki method from an early age, but I am also familiar with other methods such as the Paul Roland method or the Yehudi Menuhin method. Throughout my musical career I have been inspired and influenced by many great musicians who have guided and taught me. What I hope to offer my students is the ability to expand their vision and love for music, helping them find the music they want to make, play and experience. A technical side is being developed, but a creative, executive and musical treatment will also be present in my lessons. From classical to jazz. Hi, I’m Heewon from South Korea and I currently study music in HKU Conservatory. For about 14 years I have studied various aspects of music, I’ve studied piano, vocals and composition, and now I am studying piano in the jazz and pop course. Not only have I played lots of jazz and pop, I have played lots of classical, neo-soul and gospel, to me it’s important to be well versed in lots of genre’s. How amazing is it to play the music that lives in your head? Piano is by no means difficult, it make’s for a great hobby and is a wonderful stress reliever. My class is open for people of all skill levels and is held in English or Korean. Essential parts of my lessons are: -Tailor-made lessons to suit your skill level and needs. *For beginners we’ll go through basic piano skills, basic music theory and reading sheet music. *If you're an intermediate, you'll be given a class that suits your level, needs and wishes. I have almost finished studying at the Conservatory in Utrecht classical violin. I already have a teaching certificate after finishing Suzuki course level 1. I have a Master's degree from the Utrecht Conservatory in the Netherlands and an advanced degree from the Conservatory of the Balearic Islands. I studied violin and viola for 20 years and piano for 12 years. My goal as a music teacher is to make the students able to experience all types of emotions by playing music, understanding the musical process from its roots with a creative approach. We will begin learning the basic concepts of music, developing listening and rhythmic skills with fun exercises. Lessons will also be focused on learning the basics of music theory, creating a solid technical base and paying special attention to having a relaxed and healthy body posture. My academic and professional experience has helped me create a teaching method where improvisation is an essential tool for the student. I enjoy working on it from the beginning since it is a perfect way to develop musicality. Playing different music genres together As a musician, another of my sources of inspiration is to get to know and to learn from different styles, playing and experimenting with music from the classical period until the most avant-garde style. During the lessons, we will play pop, jazz, classical and many other styles. I would like to explore the instrument with the student in a fun way, growing, improving, and discovering new ways of making music together. During the lessons the students and I could play together, either playing some duos with the cello or accompanying them with the piano, which is an activity that I really enjoy. Playing together with more people and with a polyphonic instrument from the beginning will give the student clues to learn how to play in ensembles and listen to all the different voices that can be part of any musical composition.
