Learn how to play the violin and how to improve your violin skills
Hi! I'm Vivian, I'm 20 years old and I study classical violin at the Conservatory of Utrecht. For my methodology class this year I need to find a student to work with.
I need to give a minimum of 10 lessons this school year, you can expect to have a lesson every week.
It doesn't matter what level you are on - we will talk about your goals and motivation and I will incorporate that in the lessons. The only thing you have to bring with you is a love for music and the violin :)
I'm studying classical music, but if you prefer other types of music, that is also completely fine!! these are individual lessons, your wishes are most important!

Violin Lessons for children, adults, or anyone who wants to learn the violin!I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training, I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory classes for 6 years because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share some knowledge of music theory along with the violin lessons. Lessons are private and not in groups.

Make your own Synthesizer or Effect using Max for Live - Lessons in English or FrenchMax for Live is a tool bundled with Ableton Live that lets you program your own instruments and effects without writing a single line of code. With this course you will get a better understanding of the components of a synthesizer, learn the fundamentals of some of the most known and recognizable effects and learn some basic notions of programming.
Max uses a visual approach to programming, meaning you do not have to right codes to make your own plugins, instead you connect blocks that each have a specific function into an interconnected network that make a functioning instrument or effect.
By learning how to make your own plugin you will also gain a better understanding of how digital audio works, making you more aware of what your are doing in Ableton and more efficient.

Experimental electronic music composition / Free improvisation (theory & practice)Experimentation is an inherent characteristic of electronic music. Nowadays, composing music using technology creates endless creative possibilities that demand the musician/composer to adapt to numerous technical and artistic challenges. Do you like experimenting with sound and making music that does not clearly belong to a particular genre or style? Interested in bringing a fresh perspective and out-of-the-box thinking to your music production? Are you just starting out in electronic music composition and wondering how to develop your own style? This course is just what you need.
In this class, you will learn:
- how to transform sound using analogue and digital techniques.
- how to create sound structures and organise them in a DAW enviroment to compose a piece of music.
- how to record, edit and mix sounds using both conventional and experimental techniques.
- how to use improvisation in both the context of live performance and composition.
- about the theory and practice of free improvisation.
- about the history and origins of electronic music and how it affected the music we listen today.
- how to document and communicate procedures related to your artistic practice.
- how to create an artistic portfolio.
Aspiring musicians with a background in any genre can take advantage of this course. A formal education in music or experience with electronic music composition are not required to follow. However, you should be unafraid of experimenting with sound and music technology! Each class is customized to meet the needs of the individual student in an innovative and flexible way! The course can also serve as a preparation for applying to several Dutch educational programmes related to electronic music composition (Institute of Sonology, HKU, ArtEZ, etc.).
The class is focused on small assignments that help the student develop a sense of orientation and set goals.
Recording, editing, and mixing will be done via the DAW "Reaper," but we can switch to your preferred software at any time. We will use the first lesson to discuss your background, interests, and motivations in order to develop a course structure that is tailored to your needs.

Guitar lessons with a focus on playing technique, sound and applied theoryI want to base my lessons on playing the guitar and related instruments in a way that feels mastered and personal.
I therefore want to focus on expression, technique and the aurally malleable nature of the instrument, for example by discussing extended techniques and the use of effect pedals. I want to invite the students to learn to listen carefully to the impact of different playing techniques and audio effects.
During the lessons I want to cover different kinds of music theory, especially in an "applied" way that is valuable to the student. I also want to deal with recording and producing my own work.
Owning your own effects pedals, a guitar amplifier or recording equipment is not required for this course.

Violin and Viola Lessons in The Hague and Surrounding AreaI teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced violin and viola lessons to all ages. My lessons are customized for each student’s personality, learning style, and abilities. I put a strong emphasis on developing instrumental techniques and fundamentals. With a good foundation, students are more easily able to express themselves in an imaginative way. I challenge my students with high standards in a learning environment that is fun and engaging.
I believe that students learn best when they feel challenged, but also successful and confident about themselves. I am a detail-oriented and rigorous teacher but I find balance through patience and kindness. I maintain a keen awareness of pacing, interests, and motivation so that my students never get bored.

Singing lessons for all levels - voice - breath - bodyI'm offering singing lessons for all levels and ages. Together we will explore your voice and build a healthy vocal technique.
Hi, my name is Eva. I'm a classically trained singer with a bachelor's degree in singing from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. I love to learn and research about voice.
In my lessons, I pay attention to vocal technique (breath, phonation, resonance, articulation) and body movement. Our whole body is our instrument, so I like to incorporate exercises from different sources like Tao Face Yoga, Yoga, Qigong etc.
Structure and consistency are important, but on the other hand, singing is also all about playfulness and spontaneity. So I try to keep that balance in the lesson.
But the most important to me is that I create a warm and safe environment where students feel safe to open up and dare to express, feel, and explore their voices.
Our voice is not only a tool to express, but have also positive effects on our hormones and nervous system. So singing is not only fun but also good for you!
I have been exploring and studying (my) voice for over 10 years. I attended many masterclasses and training sessions focused on breathing, vocal technique, acting, stage presence, and more, giving me a broad knowledge and understanding of the voice.

Violin lessons for all levels and ages (from 3) by a professional violinist and pedagogue in The Hague.Teacher at Strijkdomain (The Hague), Conservatory in The Hague, Vuurvlinderschool, Geldelandschool en a Het Klooster (Woerden).
I was under the tutelage of the great violin pedagogue Mr. Mauricio Fuks at Indiana University (USA) for 3 consecutive years (2018-2021) becoming his teaching assistant for 3 years (2018-2021). Moreover, I have taught young violinists in Elementary Schools, (e.g. Fairview Elementary School) and also collegiate students in the Jacobs School of Music (US). In Spain, I have teaching experience in several music schools instructing violinists ranging from 3 to 70 years of age. I have also worked with ADHD and autistic students with a great passion for violin playing and music-making.
I hold a master's in Violin Performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and in Psychology and Music (UNED). I have an excellent command of English, and Dutch and a good working knowledge of French. I base my teaching method on Suzuki and Galamian methods, which I combine with a wide repertoire of progressive violin pieces.
Come and have a lesson with me!
Ana
Violin lessons for everyone. You don't need to be able to read music to play the violin!I am Ana Marquez (23 years old), violinist and music teacher from Spain based in the Netherlands, last May I completed my studies at the HKU Utrecht Conservatory.
I started my musical education at the age of 6 in Málaga, my birthplace. I followed the Suzuki method from an early age, but I am also familiar with other methods such as the Paul Roland method or the Yehudi Menuhin method. Throughout my musical career I have been inspired and influenced by many great musicians who have guided and taught me. What I hope to offer my students is the ability to expand their vision and love for music, helping them find the music they want to make, play and experience. A technical side is being developed, but a creative, executive and musical treatment will also be present in my lessons. From classical to jazz.
My goal is to show everyone how beautiful music can be. And fun!
