I started taking violin lessons at the age of 7. After years of training, I am currently continuing my violin studies at Utrecht Conservatory. I have also attended music theory classes for 6 years because it is very useful to have some knowledge of it when playing any instrument. If you would like, I would be more than happy to share some knowledge of music theory along with the violin lessons. Lessons are private and not in groups.

The way I teach actually depends entirely on the student. The way I explain the concepts, plan and structure the lessons and approach each subject all depends on whether the student is a beginner, intermediate or advanced, and whether he or she has some experience on the subject. Each student has different needs and different abilities. It's just a matter of getting to know the student, in order to identify both the weaknesses and strengths on which to work.

I am Ana Marquez (23 years old), violinist and music teacher from Spain based in the Netherlands, last May I completed my studies at the HKU Utrecht Conservatory. I started my musical education at the age of 6 in Málaga, my birthplace. I followed the Suzuki method from an early age, but I am also familiar with other methods such as the Paul Roland method or the Yehudi Menuhin method. Throughout my musical career I have been inspired and influenced by many great musicians who have guided and taught me. What I hope to offer my students is the ability to expand their vision and love for music, helping them find the music they want to make, play and experience. A technical side is being developed, but a creative, executive and musical treatment will also be present in my lessons. From classical to jazz.
