Italiano leren: Makkelijk en Leuk - Facile e Divertente

Ciao, I’m Alessio!

Despite my degree in law, I have always been passionate about European languages. I hold a C1 IELTS certificate in English, a B2 Goethe Zertifikat in German, a B1 TOEFL in French, and at home, I speak Spanish with my partner. I am currently also studying Dutch since I plan to stay in the Netherlands for a long time.

I have previous experience as a private language tutor in German for middle school students, and I have also taught the basics of Italian to some international friends.

My strength lies in grammar, which is always the foundation of any language. However, this doesn't exclude an element of fun. In this regard, my lessons are well-balanced.

I live in Utrecht and am available for face-to-face lessons.

Tot ziens!

About Me

Hi, my name is Alessio, I’m 26 y.o. and I've been living in the Netherlands for over two years. After graduating in law in Rome, I moved to Utrecht to pursue a master's degree in European Criminal Law. Besides law, my other two passions are European languages and music. I have earned various certificates in different European languages, and I currently work as a 'music curator.' In this role, I manage several playlists on Spotify (such as Best Acoustic Guitar Songs) and help independent artists expand their audience.

I really enjoy teaching. It may seem unusual, but studying law has greatly helped me with learning foreign languages, which also consist of rules and exceptions. This is one of the reasons why I love grammar and focus heavily on it. In my view, you might forget some words, but if you have an excellent grasp of grammar, you will always feel confident speaking a language.

At the same time, studying grammar can be intimidating, but with me, it's always approached with a smile!

Education

I completed an LL.M. in European Criminal Justice in a Global Context at Utrecht University and hold a law degree from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome. I’ve also been an exchange student in Germany for 6 months during high school.

Experience / Qualifications

I have previous experience as a private language tutor in German for middle school students, and I have also taught the basics of Italian to some international friends.

Roberto
Vuoi parlare l'italiano? Italiano con Rob per tutti
Ciao, my name is Roberto :)
I graduated in Political and Economic Science at the University of Milan. After working for a year for an American company in Milan, I moved to Australia, where I have worked, studied and traveled for two years.
It has been an incredible experience! I had the opportunity of visiting beautiful places, discovering so many different cultures and developed myself from a personal and professional point of view.
Since two years, I have been living in Haarlem - a wonderful city close to Amsterdam - and to the coast 🌊 - in the Netherlands. I love teaching and helping people to find out more about Italian culture, history, and arts. I would love to use all the modern techniques of teaching that I learned and practiced them with you. Teaching is an extraordinary passion! Parliamo italiano!

Hello, my name is Alessandra. I am Italian native speaker, with a really good level of Spanish (that I speak every day) and I specialized in Chinese, English and Spanish at the university. I have lived and worked in UK, China and now The Netherlands. In every state I gave foreign language classes to locals and my aim is to become professional language instructor. At the moment I am a translator of fantasy novels. We can decide together which kind of class you prefer. I normally work on grammar rules and conversation, error analysis and vocabulary building, using interesting material about Italian/Spanish/Chinese culture.

I am a 24 year old Italian girl. I have been living in the Netherlands for a few years and I offer Italian lessons. I have been teaching Dutch adults for almost three years. Depending on your goal, we will create a personal programme to make the most out of the lessons. I speak English (C1 level) and a little bit of Dutch. Sara
Italian online: learn at your own pace with a native teacher
Ciao! I'm Sara and I'm an Italian teacher with more than 8 years of experience teaching this wonderful language! I began teaching when I was studying my Bachelor's degree (che bei tempi!) ... I started almost as a joke but I realized soon that I actually liked this profession and, after so many years, I still feel the same! Throughout the years I had the opportunity to work with a variety of students and each of them taught me a lot: every teaching experience is unique and this is why I love it. That being said, maybe you would like to know something more about how I work. I will build a tailor-made learning path, which is shared and discussed with the student, but also select the material and the topics that best suit each person. If I had to choose my strongest point, I would definitely say that it is the kind of relationship I establish with my students: open and informal to make learning easier and to fully enjoy the experience.

Italian lessons. Italian lessons online or in person.
- I'm a professional Italian teacher from Italy, now living in Rome. I have 10 years teaching experience. I am very patient and I love to make a relaxed and friendly class environment. I have qualifications and experience teaching at different levels and in different contexts. I can help the student to improve the oral, written, and comprehension skills. Most important is that each course is based on the needs, interests and availability of the student. - The method is mainly what is called communicative, aimed at stimulating the student to speak immediately and put the focus on the functional aspect of the language. For beginners, I usually follow a specific program, I prepare a course and for each lesson I send students the files that I scan from the various books. Also the lessons can be essentially developed as conversations on specific subjects.

Learn Italian from a Roman artist in Rotterdam - order your coffee like a pro
Ciao! I have been teaching Italian for the past twelve years. I have taught privately and at language schools like La Scuola Italiana del Greenwich Village in New York and ItalCultura, the school of the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago. During the first few lessons I will make sure you have the tools to pronounce and identify all the sounds of the Italian language. This step is essential! And it will make everything easier afterwards. When I teach Italian I try to avoid all the things that I hated as a language student. We will use real songs, real literature, do real conversation and storytelling. When you are engaging all your senses it is easier to keep your mind relaxed and to remember new words. I will customize my materials to your interests, needs and desired pace. And because you are learning from a native Italian you will also learn about Italian culture and history. You will absorb a way of thinking, not just grammar rules. I speak a bunch of languages so I know a thing or two about how tedious language classes can be. My terrifying French teacher in middle school made us repeat the same fake dialogue from a really bad book ad nauseam, over and over and over again. Some of those dialogues are carved in my brain: “Bonjour, je m’appelle Richard Drapeau, je viens du Canada, je suis Canadien...” When I teach Italian I try to avoid all the things that I hated as a language student. We will use real songs, real literature, do real conversation and storytelling and we will go on “talking walks” because when you are engaging all your senses it is easier to keep your mind relaxed and to remember new words. I hold a degree in Lingue e Letterature Straniere (Foreign Languages and Literatures) from Università Roma Tre (equivalent to an American MA) and a Master’s of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts and Media from Columbia College Chicago. I wrote a thesis about translating a long epic poem by W. H. Auden and I tried to ride a horse across America.

Sara
PORTUGUÉS class for people of all ages and levels.
My name is Sara and I am Italian and pentalingual! I love languages and since many years I am teaching Italian, Spanish, French, English and Portuguese (I also speak a little Arabic!). Each person has their own pace of learning, so classes will be based on the needs of each student, their interests and their prior knowledge (and if there is no foreknowledge better! We can start this wonderful learning journey together!).

Emilce
English Language and Linguistics (A level and UG) and Year Abroad dissertation help (Fr, Sp, It)
In this course, you will learn a range of linguistic methods and learn the terms used for describing a specific aspect of language or phenomenon (lexis, morphemes, and 'telegraphic stage' to give a few examples). The course requires you to explore your own data using quantitative and qualitative analysis (eg: how frequently are slang phrases used? Are there new auxiliaries being created?). No historical linguistics or literature is involved, but language change or specific traits will be sampled via your own data collection (if this is what is demanded in your course). As many students need to present a "year abroad" dissertation at University level (3rd year in the UK of a Modern Languages or Linguistics Undergraduate course) I can help you to research and structure your year abroad work, both in English (Linguistics) and Romance languages (French, Italian, Spanish). The topics that have arisen from recent discussions with students relate to French Caribbean writing, Italian resistance and reprisals in Rome (Fosse Ardiatine), and Spanish Etica franquista in films (among others).

Umberto
Italian conversation lessons - Beginner to Advanced
Ciao! I am a native Italian and English speaker and I have been teaching teenagers and adults in the last ten years. A History, Cultural Heritage and Chemistry graduate, I am especially passionate about linguistics and different cultures! Our conversation lessons will help you learn and practice your Italian, whether you are a beginner or want to perfect the language. Topics will be tailored to your needs and can range from basic scenarios to more specific ones (professional, travel or cultural context). When necessary we can focus on specific grammar rules and expand vocabulary that is more important to you. Approach - I always encourage the student to develop a personal connection to the language by exploring personal interests and real-life language use. In my lessons, I favour a flexible approach and encourage regular practice, which will definitely help you to develop your Italian and keep it active in the long run.

Learn Italian for beginners and all other learners
Acquiring additional languages will broaden your horizons; it will enable you to interact with a greater number of individuals and enhance your social network, while also enhancing critical thinking skills from diverse perspectives that may result in significant career opportunities. Cultural awareness, improved communication skills and enhanced academic performance are just a few of the benefits of learning new languages or improving your language skills. For an academic student, I would monitor their current classes, design exercises to enhance their proficiency and concentrate on identifying and ameliorating their weaknesses. In a lesson for a volunteer learner, I would prioritise speaking practice, since the pronunciation of certain syllables is essential.

Giorgia
Italian language lessons from a native speaker - any level
Hello everyone! I'm Giorgia and I come from Torino, Italy. I offer my native knowledge of Italian to any of you, who wants to discover this beautiful language. I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments. Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages. The lesson is intended to meet the student needs: the focus can be on the grammar, conversation or literature. In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. My suggestion of a well planned lesson is, for any level, to divide it into two parts: grammar first and then conversation (covering all the abilities mentioned above). Thank you for your attention and looking forward to meeting you !!
