Welcome to my drawing and painting classes where artistic expression comes to life. I'm Dina, a passionate professional artist, and I'm excited to accompany you on an enriching artistic journey. I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

I have been drawing and painting since I was little because I come from a family of painters. Being an artist is not only knowing the techniques but having a story, a unique soul to offer. So I have the experience of creating an image, a style and a goal as an artist. - I have hands-on experience with perspective, anatomy, different paints/materials, how to work on a canvas, etc. - I have years of experience in digital art using photography, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, etc. - I create NFTs from my digital art. - I exhibited at a famous contemporary art fair a few years ago. - I do book covers and illustrations for publishers. - I do logo design.

These courses are aimed at amateurs who are curious to discover or deepen their knowledge of painting, graphics, abstract art and colour work. Art is a means of expression for the mind. Through art, we are able to start to realise our dreams, imaginations and visions. During this class, you will be guided on how to develop ideas into tangible objects which then aids you in communicating your dreams, imaginations and visions. The class also empowers you to be daring in your approaches through inviting you to test media, approaches and techniques.

Chemistry Class Description: This chemistry course provides students with a foundational understanding of the principles that govern the behavior of matter and its interactions. Topics include atomic structure, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, acids and bases, and organic chemistry. Students will engage in both theoretical learning and hands-on laboratory experiments, helping them explore real-world applications of chemical concepts in areas such as medicine, environmental science, and industry. The class emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and safety in the lab. Painting Class Description: In this painting class, students will explore various techniques and styles, from traditional to contemporary, using a range of media such as acrylics, oils, and watercolors. The class covers foundational skills like color theory, composition, brushwork, and texture, while encouraging students to develop their own creative voice and artistic vision. Through guided projects and individual practice, students will learn to express emotions, ideas, and perspectives on canvas, building confidence in their ability to create both representational and abstract artwork. This is a matte painting portfolio build-up class designed for those interested in creating a professional portfolio and pursuing a career in film postproduction. In this class, you will learn industry-standard techniques to transform scenes from day to night and create stunning, atmospheric environments. Through hands-on practice, you’ll gain a solid foundation in matte painting essentials, working with lighting, color correction, and composition. By the end of the course, you will have developed a polished portfolio with pieces that showcase your ability to enhance storytelling through visual landscapes—ideal for launching your journey in the world of postproduction.

Through the creative medium of visual art, I will fit the lesson plan according to your needs. Do you want to learn colour theory? I will teach you, using information from key texts. I've internationally exhibited in many mediums, as well as nationally (in the UK) over 20 times, including with the Tate, with the Mayflower 400 initiative, a space arts and God's House Tower. I work traditionally in physical mediums such as watercolour, oil paint, acrylics, gouache, coloured pencil, charcoal and graphite. I graduated with a First Class BA Honours in Fine Art from Southampton University. I run workshops for groups locally, and work with therapeutic art techniques. I'm well-versed in grant writing, having achieved 3 successful grants to date and my work is featured in a number of publications. I have been fortunate enough to have works in private collections. My hours are flexible, and the range of mediums I work in is too. I have experience teaching, and am bilingual in English and Greek.
