Colorimetry is a fundamental tool to begin to understand the behavior of colors, where they come from, and how to obtain them. We will see the color wheel, primary and secondary colors, and how to apply them to create different types of palettes. In turn, we will see the triads of colors to generate cold and warm palettes, and you will experience first-hand how to create those colors. We will also have a brief part of research into pigments (the source of color) and works of art throughout history, to see the use of different painting techniques. Since we are going to focus in our classes on color theory, it is not strictly necessary that you know how to draw or paint, or that you have knowledge of perspective or others. This course is designed to complement your knowledge of art and improve your ability to choose the colors and palette you want to work with. As a bonus, this course will also help you apply your knowledge when applying makeup or applying makeup, since if it is something that interests you, let me know and we will incorporate it into the course. We will see how to apply colors according to the person's eye color and skin tones. I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

This is a matte painting portfolio build-up class designed for those interested in creating a professional portfolio and pursuing a career in film postproduction. In this class, you will learn industry-standard techniques to transform scenes from day to night and create stunning, atmospheric environments. Through hands-on practice, you’ll gain a solid foundation in matte painting essentials, working with lighting, color correction, and composition. By the end of the course, you will have developed a polished portfolio with pieces that showcase your ability to enhance storytelling through visual landscapes—ideal for launching your journey in the world of postproduction.

I work traditionally in physical mediums such as watercolour, oil paint, acrylics, gouache, coloured pencil, charcoal and graphite. I graduated with a First Class BA Honours in Fine Art from Southampton University. I run workshops for groups locally, and work with therapeutic art techniques. I'm well-versed in grant writing, having achieved 3 successful grants to date and my work is featured in a number of publications. I have been fortunate enough to have works in private collections. My hours are flexible, and the range of mediums I work in is too. I have experience teaching, and am bilingual in English and Greek.
