I am a chartered Mechanical Engineer working full-time as a PhD Candidate at ISAE-SUPAERO. My current project regards ballistic protection by experiment/simulation correlation and optimisation. Also, I have worked as a mechanical engineer in Italy at the Italian Institute of Technology (Genoa, Italy) as a mechatronic engineer and as a consultant for Leonardo S.p.A. (La Spezia, Italy) in the quality department. I can help you in various scientific subjects and help draft theses and scientific documents, both in Italian and English. English is an almost essential foreign language in the world we live in. Learning can be difficult, but discovering this language and its culture can be done smoothly while adapting to your needs!

Since 2012, I offer history-geography courses, English and French to young people from 8 to 18 years. Sometimes even for high school students. My methodology for the youngest is innovative. I use playful and creative tools to stimulate students' curiosity and interest. The goal is not to feel the constraint related to learning. This technique is generally effective. The results had increased and their interest in the modified language. They were more interested in getting better and meeting foreigners to practice the language (for example, looking for tandems, traveling, language cafés, etc.). For the rest, I use literary / historical texts, extracts of scientific and journalistic articles, film / documentary / radio programs, songs, etc. The choice of media is always related to the cultural era of the language taught (English: Anglo-Saxon world). Also, I adapt my teaching method according to the person, his needs and his difficulties. I would focus for example on grammar if I see that the person does not master the grammatical bases of the language in question; on reading and pronunciation if I notice that there are difficulties assimilating certain rules, etc.

I am a teacher in high school, but maybe in college from next year, however no matter the age of my students, I will adapt my courses, and try to be as entertaining as possible so that this course is a moment nice and sharing. Pleasure being the key to progression. In the summer I'm mainly in Perpignan, but at my parents' home, it's hard for me to welcome the student to my home so I'll prefer to do my homework. Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. What will not be the subject of the course: learn lists of verbs; learn lists of nouns with their gender; learn words with their translations; memory card game; doing school exercises; follow the program in a notebook; impose French grammar on the Latin language. What matters to me in particular: motivate my student and give him a learning rhythm; encourage creativity; make friends with language; letters and their sounds strengthen your memory by working on the phonological loop; teach construction plans instead of having people learn sentences by heart; explain how the language works to make my student independent as quickly as possible; breaking preconceived ideas such as the gammatical gender would have a link with the biological gender, the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, the verbs would be irregular, the declension would be random and therefore to be learned with each verb... ; place practice at the center and articulate grammar around practice.
