- I'm a professional Italian teacher from Italy, now living in Rome. I have 10 years teaching experience. I am very patient and I love to make a relaxed and friendly class environment. I have qualifications and experience teaching at different levels and in different contexts. I can help the student to improve the oral, written, and comprehension skills. Most important is that each course is based on the needs, interests and availability of the student. - The method is mainly what is called communicative, aimed at stimulating the student to speak immediately and put the focus on the functional aspect of the language. For beginners, I usually follow a specific program, I prepare a course and for each lesson I send students the files that I scan from the various books. Also the lessons can be essentially developed as conversations on specific subjects.

Whether you are a beginner or advanced and whatever your objective, we will establish together a program adapted to your needs. I teach Italian grammar, translation, and Italian literature and history.

My university degree was in linguistics and foreign language acquisition with a specialisation in Japanese and Spanish, where I had the chance to study abroad in Japan and obtain an N1 proficiency certificate. For the past 4 years I have been living and working in a fully immersive environment in Sicily, Italy. My teaching method involves using real life and relevant material and encouraging the student to "produce" as much language as possible, always based on the student's needs and learning objectives. I expect my students to take responsibility for their learning as much as I take responsibility for them. I have had the chance to teach English to people of various ages and in various countries, where I learned how to properly structure lesson plans and courses. As time has gone on, I have found joy in teaching beginner and intermediate level Japanese and Italian and I look forward to teaching to you too!

As an Italian Opera singer, I help since many years singers with the right pronunciation of the repertoire they sing, helping them in shaping the language in a clear way, which also helps the singing. Our lesson will involve speaking, pronunciation exercises and singing. We will start the lesson by reading the text and finding the right direction and emphasis. We will focus on the sounds and how to produce them. In the second part of the lesson, we will apply all of the above to the singing!

In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading.
