However, diving into the wonders of the piano/keyboard can be a bit overwhelming... and that is where I come in! This course is for anyone from complete beginners to advanced students, from lessons that focus completely on classical music to lessons that include or focus on the basics of jazz/pop. If you like to sing, we can also work on the basics of jazz/pop vocal, so you can learn to accompany yourself at the piano. In our lessons, technique will be an inherent part of the training, as well as analysis, basic music theory, and efficient ways of practicing music. If that all sounds good to you, then please reach out to me and we can start ASAP! Lessons can be in English or Dutch. So who am I? In a nutshell, I am a professional pianist, vocalist, lyricist and blogger. Since 2014, I have taught in various music schools, teaching piano, ensemble, jazz vocal, and solfege. On a more elaborate note, I obtained my Master of Arts in classical piano, summa cum laude, at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent (KASK) in 2017, and studied as a Fulbrighter at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington USA during the 2019-2020 academic year. Every day, I strive to become a better musician and person, and I aim to transfer that passion to my students.

For example, we will not put the same level of demand if you want to play for pleasure at home without haste or if you want to do some entrance exams to musical studies (although always with the same good rigor). The needs of each student can vary the methodology, the way of organizing the study sessions, the postural work, the repertoire... - Once we know what we want to achieve and by when, classes will begin in a relaxed atmosphere. Important! Relaxed is not equal to undemanding or rigorous, just that we will try not to resort to military methods, especially given my character and sense of humor ;). - Something important to note is that my methods are very dynamic and with special emphasis on the development of the ear and musicality. No reading, spitting and changing songs. I try to avoid methods that focus too much on the continuous reading of scores without memorizing, listening or understanding what is being done and why, especially so that later you can make your own aesthetic decisions and feel ownership of your performance. I worked in a language school and at universities, and I suppose I gained success. 😊 My achievements are directly proportional to my students’ success. I have been teaching Turkish professionally for 14 years. I also taught Turkish for 4 years when I was a university student. I learned Ottoman Turkish at the university, that is why I am familiar Persian and Arabic vocabulary. I also studied Persian, German and Italian grammar. I completed my master's degree in Ottoman history and spent a semester as an Erasmus student at the Turkish Studies Department of Leiden University. A basic but correct conversation is really important for self-confidence in any language. If a learner can master basic sentence forms, the rest will come much easier. On the other hand, making mistakes is also very important. Especially, a learner can not speak without making a mistake the first and second time. My students are always varied and have diverse learning skills. My professionalism also allows me to tailor language education according to individual interests, needs, and capacities. I have five years of experience under my belt (abroad and in Belgium). I have created a teaching method for online courses. The course includes: -The material (articles, videos, exercises from images and texts, grammatical theory, links to the exercises...). I use Google Doc so it's best to have a Gmail address to access it. -The correction of exercises outside of class (the written expressions are corrected outside of class, or with the student, according to his needs). -Access to an application (free) to study vocabulary on your smartphone. -A vocabulary sheet - pronunciation - grammar / conjugation, sent after each course. -If necessary, a vocabulary recording (for beginners). -The realization of online exercises and tests from the sent vocabulary sheets. -Motivation, laughter, good mood :-) My method: - It's based on speaking. -For grammar I use a question/answer method (learned during the training at the CERAN center). -We work on pronunciation with the verbotonal method (exercises for setting your voice, for rhythm, etc.). I might even make you sing! :-) -Everything goes through the spoken word before the written word, but I clearly adapt to the needs of the students. -The course is a little different for children and adolescents: I use interactive games and cards via webcam. I am following a class with Başak to learn turkish. The lessons are held in english. This course covers pronunciation, grammar and free speaking which are also adapted to daily life situations as well as speaking about yourself. I have experienced a very well organized and structured teacher on a professional basis. The teacher gives clear instructions, pays attention to the pronunciation and corrects you when needed, which is crucial for the turkish pronunciation. The course fees contain the tuition as booked and course material as the class is accompanied by a book (workbook and exercise book) and audio files. The books are sent to you in advance, makes it very convenient to take a print out or as a digital version on your tablet/PC/phone. Between the lessons homework will be assigned and checked by her via mail and discussed in the next lesson. So far, I am very happy with the lessons and I am also confident that I will improve my turkish steadily in the future with her. Thanks

Arabic and tunisian Dialect courses for children and adults (Tunis)
Zouhour
Zouhour is a great teacher and highly recommended. She works hard to make every lesson fun, yet effective. Both are important for learning a new language, especially one like Tunisian Arabic, which is a bit different than Modern Standard Arabic. While she has a curriculum that she uses, she adapts to a student’s capabilities and learning needs. Very quickly can a student put into practice what she teaches and she presents the building blocks for later, more complicated conversations. I personally was very rapidly able to put simple greetings, words and phrases into use, to great avail and lots of smiles from Tunisians. Again, she is highly recommended as a teacher for Tunisian Arabic.

Miss Sara is a very good teacher. She has a way to keep my 6 year old daughter engaged and encouraged while increasing her abilities in French. I have seen my daughter improve drastically. She challenges her and she started reading many words in the space of 3 months when she could not before in French. The exercises she gives touches a wide range of topics (syllables, vocabulary, sentance building etc) that has allowed my English speakig daughter to cope well in her French school environment. She started understanding what people say to her in French which is amazing.
