Graduated with a DEM (Diploma of musical studies) in classical saxophone, a Bachelor's degree in jazz saxophone and a License in Musicology from the Sorbonne in Paris. I am currently studying for a master's degree in jazz saxophone at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I give lessons in saxophone, improvisation, jazz harmony, music theory. The lessons I offer are based on learning pieces adapted to the level of the student and his musical tastes, work on relaxation, ease and pleasure on the instrument, development of sound and sensations. playing. Are you a beginner?? No worries: no experience is required! 😁 I can teach you the basics to produce sounds with your saxophone: position of the embouchure (teeth, tongue, lips and vocal cords' position, an element often forgotten), fingerings, use of diafragma,... After the first two lessons spent on the mouthpiece and neck for the sound production, we will immediately start to play some super easy duos together to practice your capacity of listening, pay attention to the other, ear training as well. I normally use the book of Peter Wastall (titled Learn as you play) as support, but it is not mandatory. There are plenty of good books btw! Are you an intermediate / advanced student?? I am sure you can still improve in all the basics, but on a different level. I'll teach you the importance of the "voicing" (technique named by the american saxophonist and pedagogue Donald Sinta) to improve your sound production and projection as well as the capacity of correcting and improving the intonation. You can learn all about phrasing and music interpretation, from tonal music until contemporary atonal compositions. And still, you can improve your playing together, practicing in duo on different aspects like tuning, balance, interpretation, performance etc. Book a lesson and try! I obtained my Master of Music at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with Simon Diricq. There I built up a broad expertise in (contemporary) classical, but I am also not unfamiliar with popular music. I now have five years of teaching experience. All types of saxophone are possible: soprano, alto, tenor, baritone. Currently studying at the Koninklijke Conservatorium in Brussels. I graduated with a DEM jazz from the conservatory of Chalon-sur-Saône, and a BEM in classical saxophone from Dijon. I used to give courses in structure and particular, I taught 5 years the saxophone to students of all levels and all ages (from 5 to 71 years old) at the school of music and harmonic orchestra of Dijon, I also taught musical training at the conservatory of Beaune.
