Every hour we go through the current piece, I explain to you the easiest way to learn it and we do a few exercises to build technique. Afterwards we play as a duo with piano and violin. Important: You decide what you want to learn and which pieces you want to play.
Optionally, we can add a unit in music theory or improvisation.
Whether you are a beginner or advanced, you are in good hands with me! You can learn to play the violin at almost any age; I teach students between the ages of 4 and 69.

Violin lessons, for beginners and advanced no matter the age.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, if you're here, it probably means you need support in some aspect of your music education. With a background of over 17 years of playing the violin and pedagogical experience in teaching youth, I bring the knowledge gathered from the world scene in a systematized way to the students I work with. As part of my program, you will get to know and explore: - Fundamentals: reading violin music, proper posture, intonation, scales, solfeggio, techniques and other exercises. - Violin Technique: correct posture, holding of the violin and the bow, finger and bow techniques through various exercises. - Pitch and Rhythm: recognize and notate pitches on all strings, experience diverse rhythms and meters. - Musical Vocabulary: basic musical terms and symbols. - Making music: learning to express your musicality through understanding form, dynamics, tempo and phrasing. - Repertoire: literature of various composers, understanding their style and of the epoch of theirs. Please contact me before booking a lesson so that I can understand your priorities and, in accordance with your level of experience and individual learning pace, embark on this musical journey. With the desire to build a platform for violinists together, I eagerly await you in my online classroom!

Violin Classes, Piano Classes, and Music Theory Classes
I have been teaching violin, piano, and music theory for over 10 years, during which I have developed a comprehensive understanding of music education and honed my ability to inspire and motivate students. My undergraduate and masters degrees in Music from Berklee College of Music and Trinity College Dublin provided a solid foundation in both music theory and performance, which I have built upon through extensive practical teaching experience. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with students of various ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced learners, and have tailored my teaching methods to suit their individual needs. I am deeply passionate about creating a positive, engaging learning environment where students can discover the joy of music and develop their musical skills. I foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages students to explore their creativity while ensuring that every learner feels supported and valued, regardless of their background or ability

Violin Lesson - exploring elements that creates tension and unease and what makes music sound different
Explore where your tension is coming from, where the error is happening between your body and your brain, and what music wants you to do with open, free wills. As a violinist, I experienced long-term injury, and I explored many other fields like physical therapy, psychology, personal training, Alexander technique, Feldenkrais, and Body mapping for recovery. This experience has impacted highly on teaching as well, and I would love to help others with curious, open, and creative eyes and minds. From body posture to small technical issues, I will help you look at the issue from many different perspectives that can help you find a more organic way to make music.

Violin or piano lessons to inspire, balancing technique and musicality
I aim to strike a balance as much as possible between teaching technical skills and musicality, as of course there cannot be one without the other when learning an instrument. Lessons are a mixture of teaching and demonstrating correct posture, finger patterns or body movements, and teaching and engaging a learner with rhythm, pitch and melody, and then combining them together. I am a firm believer in tackling one aspect at a time in lessons and gradually combining it with another aspect of playing. I often include activities such as playing a note and asking the student to match my pitch or sound quality, or including musical games that can develop musical memory and rhythm. The most important aspect of learning any instrument is of course the music! Aiming to help a student find music (or if they have ideas they are welcome to bring them along!) that they love and find absorbing - this can be any genre, as long as it has a tune! I have a variety of books of different levels that I can use to help students find styles that are fun and enjoyable for them. There are technical things that need to be worked on in playing any instrument - but of fundamental importance is that the student has a feel for the music they play and a musical idea of what the end goal of any piece is.

>> Violin Lessons to Free the Inner Expression and Creativity <<
Violin learning is the process of discovering one's own voice through the infinite possibilities that this four strings instrument has to offer. From sparkling, intense and rough to pure, kind and crystalline; learning the violin, as many other arts, is about freeing the emotion through the discipline and order of sound and movement. Let me introduce myself. I am Ángeles, an Andalusian in Finland, finishing my master degree in Music Performance at the prestigious Sibelius Academy with great professor Mari Tampere-Bezrodny. I came to Helsinki two years ago seeking for a personal and cultural growth, with huge passion for music and the need to share it. I discovered in violin teaching a new path to that energy to come true, to materialize, by inspiring and leading enthusiastic students to their best performance. The starting level and goals of the student will determine the direction of the lessons. Join my class if violin is your passion, if you need to reinforce your technique or you want to discover the wonderful world of violin playing.
