I first identify which points are problematic in order to increase the efficiency of the courses. For the exercises, I first let the student suggest his method of solving because each problem can be approached in several ways and it is much more productive to start from the student's ideas. I favor understanding by heart because I consider that memorization is only rarely necessary in math and science. I started teaching because I really liked mathematics.
