I am a teacher and tutor of Italian Language for Foreigners with a Master's degree in teaching Italian as a language for foreigners from the Ca' Foscari University of Venezia and the DITALS certification (Certificate of aptitude in didactics of Italian to foreigners) of the University for Foreigners of Siena (Italy). The course and my method of teaching the language are based on a communicative approach: the student will learn the language gradually by using it and communicating in a real language and not abstract. To achieve this goal, many activities will be offered using authentic teaching materials such as newspaper articles, pages from novels, movie scenes, song lyrics and many more.

I will cover main functional areas of Italian grammar and vocabulary within different areas and will make sure that you start speaking since the first class already, since Practice Makes Perfect and Italian is not so difficult as it may seem at first! Writing skills are an important part of communication in a foreign language, in order to communicate a message with clarity and ease. For this reason, this course aims to improve your grammar, spelling, punctuation and complex phrase construction. Special attention will be paid to correct ortography - with special emphasis on constructs that may be difficult - and to plan specific pieces of writing that the student may need at school, university or in the workplace. The student will have the opportunity to use the appropriate vocabulary in diverse written situations, focusing on formal expression. Therefore, the aim of this course is to develop students written expression through a series of graded steps, using a stimulating range of writing activities based on the student's needs.
