No solfegic knowledge is required although the basics can be taught if you feel the need. We can explore together the technical and artistic facets of composition, written or improvised live performance, or even mixing. My master software is Ableton Live, and I also program in Max MSP, so if you feel like it, we can also explore the extraordinary that Max for Live (M4L) offers Ableton! If you are on another software I may be able to convey to you a number of main principles but would be less detailed in the knowledge. In the same way, if you have a synthesizer or other hardware that you want to understand better, I could give you the basic principles, and we can study the specificities of your machines together. My course is aimed at young beginners who want to learn the piano, and who are ready to go through the music theory box! For the course of the course it's quite simple: we will choose several pieces together, depending on the level of difficulty and the student's desires. The course will be divided into two: a first part of music theory (which I will make fun with various exercises, don't worry), and a second practical part where the student will play the chosen pieces. Concerning myself, I did 13 years of piano at the Montpellier Conservatory. I studied music theory, piano, chamber music, sight reading and choir there. I have been giving piano lessons for several years now, in Paris until last year and now in Brussels. I like to transmit this passion, and it is with listening and kindness that I do it!

I provide private one-to-one classical piano lessons for students aged 8 and up – including adults. Lessons are moulded to the ability of each student, whether you are just starting out, intermediate or advanced or even taking the piano back up after a long break, I will make sure your lessons are a suitable pace and level for you. Lessons cover technical exercises, sight reading, theory and aural skills as well as learning pieces. I have been teaching for over 7 years, with a focus on ABRSM exams. However your lessons do not need to be exam orientated if you would rather just learn for pleasure.
