Hello. I’m Asuka, a native Japanese speaker. I’m currently living in the Toulouse city centre. I’m not a professional language teacher but I’m interested in the career path as a Japanese teacher. When I was living in Tokyo, I met many Japanese learner. They work hard on the learning, they love Japanese culture. Simply, I was impressed by their enthusiasm. At the same time, that made me think that I’d love to support them as a Japanese who was born and raised in Japan, who is also as very curious about foreign matters as they are. My lesson will be casual. I’m thinking of free talk style in Japanese and English. To distinct it from just a language exchange, I’ll make some efforts. Such as, I’ll try to talk easy Japanese and let you talk more than me, corrections can be happened, questions are always welcome, and if you have materials you want to use during a lesson, I’ll accept them of course! If you prefer to focus on grammar, reading rather than just listening and talking, that will work too! I can flexibly make adjustments for lessons. Don’t worry even if you’re a complete beginner. I truly respect your curiosity and support you. If you’re an intermediate learner, you might be struggling. It’s okay, every small effort is leading you to the next level! Long-time Japanese, I offer all those interested in Japanese culture or who prepare a trip for Japanese language and civilization courses to discover or rediscover a culture that is sometimes difficult to assimilate. Graduated with a degree in Japanese Literature and Civilization, I have been giving private lessons since 2018. I traveled to Japan for a total of 1 year and a half, from 2015 to 2017. All my classes are adapted to each of you (personalized exercises). You will need a Japanese dictionary for your exercises AND your personal work: I recommend the “imiwa?” or “yomiwa” and the site https://www.dictionnaire-japonais.com/index.php (good paper versions are expensive). I prefer to have a small exchange with the student before starting, to know his level, his rhythm, his preferences, his hobbies, his passions etc... My lessons will be based on my past experiences in Japan, on what been taught and from my own books. We will study together oral comprehension, writing, reading, translations... Classes will take place at my place, at your place (for your children only), or remotely via my Discord class. If I have to travel, travel costs will be expected in addition to the hourly course price (based on the price of gas/km and the time invested). I also agree to give courses in companies, or in structures, in order to train in the Japanese language the people who will be sent to the land of the rising sun to work there. My course cancellation policy: Any lesson canceled at least 12 hours before the said lesson will not have to be paid. After this time, the course will have to be postponed or due.
