Whether you have experience with singing and want to develop your skills or you were always curious about learning how to sing, I will adjust my lessons to your goals and provide you with the tools you need to make singing easier. In order for you to become a better singer, I will teach you to understand how your body works and how it is connected to your voice. That way, you will be able to properly use your voice and make singing even more exciting. I want to create a safe and fun learning space in which we can learn from each other the wonderfulness that is singing!

I'm a jazz trumpet player from Italy, I have played the trumpet for 15 years, and I'm currently a master's student at Conservatorium van Amsterdam and a professional musician. In this class, I will transfer to you all my competencies about classical trumpet techniques and how to apply that in a jazz improvisation. My teaching approach is not made by a universal method, I intend to personalize the method for what you need now to achieve your goals.

Hello! My name is Karolina and I am a professional singer, as well as an upcoming music therapist. I studied Jazz Music at Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen and at the moment I am completing my Master studies in Music Therapy at the ArtEZ Conservatorium in Enschede, The Netherlands. I also hold a degree of the Orff Approach (Orff Schulwerk), a developmental approach used in music education, which combines music, movement, and speech and it is a great approach for children 4-8 years old. I specialize in jazz and Brazilian repertoire, but I also teach Greek folk singing. The lessons are designed according to the needs of each student. Some of the focusing areas are listed below: 1. Vocal Technique: We focus on vocal technique elements such as breath control, vocal range, the use of all registers, and timbres of your voice. The goal is to sing effortlessly. With the vocal technique, you will get the chance to explore your voice and build confidence in your voice. 2. Repertoire: Together we can build your repertoire step by step and focus on the phrasing of each style. You will choose the repertoire you like and you can always ask for advice in case you want to explore new musical styles. It will also boost your creativity and musicality. Specific exercises can also guide you through this process step by step and in that way we will explore vocal improvisation. FOR CHILDREN (4-8 years old): I am specialized in music education for children 4-8 years old. Using the Orff Approach children will have a great creative time for themselves where they learn music by using their whole body. Experiencing and learning music through playing! Music is a really beautiful art to learn. As a musician, I want my students to have a good experience and minimmum knowledge to develop new skills and learn new instruments. I am currently studying for music teacher at The Royal Conservatory in The Hague, and with experience in piano and bassoon teaching. I'm looking forward to develop new music classes where both me and the students can have a lot of fun with piano. The internet is full of videos and tutorials about songs, chords, scales, licks and even music theory. But if you're tired of playing that song, or that lick, without being able to change it, then this class is for you. Before I entered the conservatory, I could never really understand what I was playing. And that was preventing me from expressing my musicality. By this I mean, I wasn't able to change a chord, or do a variation on a melody, or even creating an Intro. And this requires not so hard skills that can easily be developed just by thinking in music by its harmonical context. In my lessons I'll garantee you learn all this skills and you start making music since the very first day.
