Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. These classes are designed for students with different knowledge of piano, from beginner to intermediate - advanced. Normally I use the Faber Piano Adventures method, useful for all ages and levels, but another method can be chosen depending on the learning style of each student. We start with pre-reading, introduction to the staff and reading of scores. You will learn in a fun and effective way how to read music. Also, comprehensively, you will learn about music theory and ear training. Additionally, you are free to propose songs of your liking, to learn them along with the method.

Learning to play an instrument is an amazing skill to possess! I have been playing guitar for 12 years now and piano for 2 years. Playing instrument provides me with a hobby that is equal parts calming and fun, it brings joy to me and to others. It is best to start learning music at a young age however, it is never too late to pick up a new skill! I myself have recently tried learning the cello and it is exciting to say the least. I have many years experience tutoring and teaching both academically and musically. I have taught ages 4-15 years old in the past as well as having many years experience in customer service.
