Piano is an incredible instrument to learn - it provides you with a broad understanding of music, develops listening skills, and great dexterity, increases concentration, and much more. I specialize in jazz piano but teach all musical styles according to the student's needs and wishes. Throughout the lesson we will learn music and songs, technique, harmony, ear training, theory, and rhythm - all subjects of music can be addressed through the piano!

Throughout the years I have developed piano skills with which I can play all sorts of compositions by ear as well as improvise variations based on the main structure of a piece. In this course I will show you the practical and theoretical basics to improvise as well as learn pieces on the piano without note sheets. It will not be a "classical music lesson" although I will reference classical music and talk about music theory, music history and the physics of sound a lot. It won't have a "syllabus" either on the basis that every person needs different sets of skills to improve upon. It will be more of a discussion/dialogue accompanying the piano where we will expand on our ideas about music. In that case the lessons will include contents of piano technique, score reading, applied harmony on the keyboard, composition, improvisation, musical arrangement, music production, recording techniques, jazz and pop music analysis and performance. Both programs can be combined depending on the focus and the profile of the student, or in case the student would like to go deeper in one of the previously mentioned subjects there is the opportunity to take an independent course of specialization on the desired topic. At the end of the semester every student will perform at the winter and summer concerts held every year and will have the possibility of making a recording session with the material worked during the term. With this, the student will not only be able to see his progress and work, but also will give him a direct experience of performing and working on a live or studio recording session, which is a fundamental part of the developing process of every musician.
