I am here to teach singing skills to younger children, in the lessons I can teach them how to warm up and sing songs that vary in ability as they get better. I have had experiance working either younger children in a different setting. I feel its important for children to learn this as not only will it boost their confidence, it will give them something fun to look foward to and will be a good skill they may want to develop further as they grow up.

I finished 4-year full-time music conservatory in a vocal performance department.

We place particular emphasis on loosening the jaw and relaxing the entire body. For children, I integrate playful movements that make the lessons lively and varied. We then work on breathing techniques and support to make your voice sound powerful and free. As the lessons progress, we discover the unique sound of your voice together and apply what we have learned to songs of your choice. With children, I pay particular attention to their wishes and favorite songs to encourage the joy of singing.

I am an Italian soprano, graduated from the Dutch National Opera Academy. I work as a soloist as a freelance singer, and I teach singing to students of different levels and ages for many years. The most important thing during my lessons is to help the student find a healthy and comfortable way of singing! During the first part of the lesson, we will focus on Technique and breathing, while during the second part of the lesson we will focus on the repertoire chosen together with the student, applying the aspect of the technique that we worked on previously in the lesson.

Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs. In our Oud class, I will guide you through everything from basic to advanced techniques. We will cover playing for all levels, correct left-hand use, synchronizing with the right hand, handling the pick, tuning the Oud, and effectively using a tuner and metronome. In the remaining time, we will dive into reading musical notes, starting with basic Solfege and progressing to advanced and oriental Solfege, including dictation exercises. This comprehensive approach ensures a well-rounded musical journey My recommendation for learning the Oud is to begin by studying musical notes and notation before delving into songs. While some students prefer to jump straight into playing songs, understanding the fundamentals of music notation accelerates progress in the long run. Singing in all it's discipline's is one of the most powerful forms of self expression. whether you are beginning on your Journey into singing and music, or you are further along the road and would like some extra guidance, support or knowledge, these are all things I can help you with. Each persons sessions will be tailored to the student, going on your ability and what you would like as an outcome of your lessons. some subjects we will go Through are topics such as: warm ups to protect the voice, Voice Technique, Performance - developing your own personal style of singing and as a performer through learning songs of your choice. Additionally to these topics, we can do subjects based around music theory, Learning to read music and Music History. the main thing of course, is to have fun learning and performing! Alternatively, If you are already Studying Music and/or Singing and want help with revision or Practice, I am Happy to accommodate for this also. I have my Grade 8 in Singing, as well as having been trained in Music at degree level in multiple genres of vocal performance and additionally with 25 years of experience in performing arts. I am more than happy to accommodate multiple Genres, and again, all learning is at the students pace. I am available to teach from Friday 21st February 2025.
