I am a classically trained experienced musician with a strong background in orchestral performance, I started studying music since I was 5 years old. I have been teaching flute, piano, music theory and folk woodwinds for more than 10 years. These classes are designed to help students currently studying for their A-Level music examinations. I have experience across a number of exam boards, from AQA to Northern Ireland's CCEA. These classes focus on a number of key areas, such as set work analysis, unseen listening analysis, and written essay exam preparation. These classes use a discussion-led approach to learning, ensuring students can improve in their vocal and written understanding of music analysis. Homework is generally given in the form of extra listening examples to immerse students further in the musical vocabulary of the set works they are required to study depending on their given exam board.

Hey! My name is Seán, and I am an Irish singer-songwriter based in London with 2 years of teaching experience. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example. I teach vocal technique through body awareness. We’ll dive into the essential principles of singing: breath, resonance, and articulation. We’ll start with some breathing exercises to get warmed up, followed by vocal exercises to work on technique, and then you’ll get to sing a song of your choice. We’ll also bust some common myths about singing, and you’ll be amazed at how much you can learn in such a short time! It’s going to be a lot of fun!
