To succeed in Fine Art, we need to open our ways of thinking. Oftentimes, we can feel stuck, lost or uninspired. In this class, I will teach you how to move forward in these moments; how to produce a healthy momentum in yourself to find excitement in your projects and push through them to the finishing point. Fine Art is unlike any subject in that it really comes from the individual. There is no "right way", but if there is no discernible path, where do we go? I can show you how to tap into your inner artist and create and move through projects with a self-direction that will build your confidence, ignite passion and open unlimited ways to express yourself regardless of technical ability. Fine Art can be a confusing, and often inaccessible subject. However, creating and engaging with art can also be empowering once you have the understanding of contemporary art practises. It is my intention to engage both children and adults in creative play, and discussion, to create exciting lessons. Lessons will often be tailored towards the individual's interests, linking them to relevant artists and artistic practises. A wide range of materials and processes will be explored in the lessons, including painting, drawing, sculpture and digital art, allowing students to find their strengths. As a Fine Art and History of Art graduate it truly is my passion to ignite, distill, and grow a person's interests in Art, Design and Art History. I have experience in creating and teaching lessons for students of all ages, from 4 years of age up to adults. I also have experience tutoring GCSE and A-level students in the trickier aspects of a Fine Art qualification, where jumping through the hoops and tick the boxes that the exam boards require can often take the joy out of creating. My aim is to help students get the grade that truly reflects their engagement and enthusiasm for art, guiding them through the certain requirements that can often feel confusing or frustrating. Whatever level of understanding and ability the student may have, these lessons will be challenging, creative and rewarding.

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

For beginners, I focus on building a solid foundation with simple vocabulary, basic grammar, and real-life conversation skills. For intermediate students, I help improve fluency, expand vocabulary, and refine grammar with more complex topics and discussions. I use a mix of interactive materials, visual aids, and hands-on exercises to make learning fun and effective. Communicative Methodology The lessons are based on everyday situations that are relevant to the student's sociocultural reality. The main focus is to learn the language in the context in which it is actually used, presenting situations such as at a restaurant, at home, or talking on the phone. In addition, it emphasizes communication between students in these situations, allowing them to exchange experiences. For example, to work on past tense verbs, we can talk about what you did over the weekend. This way, the student applies the new language to their everyday situations. Reading and writing related to these everyday situations are also worked on, encouraging reflection and helping to solidify the content. The method works for both beginner and advanced students. The lessons are naturally developed around practical topics, always focused on real-life subjects (based on the student’s reality). Since we will be learning English or Portuguese through practical contexts, we won't waste time teaching grammar traditionally, which makes the lessons more dynamic and interactive.
