I give jazz / blues / funk / pop piano lessons for pianists who already have a basic technical background, and piano lessons for beginner pianists. I specialize in teaching jazz and improvised music but open to all types of music. We decide together on the repertoire. My method is adapted to each (e) and respects the rhythm of the student, including the notions of music theory and harmony necessary for his level. Our lessons will take place at Rue de Poitou Paris or Rue Richer Paris or at home (a surplus for travel) at your choice. The trumpet: its correct technical execution and the interpretation of popular and academic universal repertoires, is available to everyone regardless of their age. We will build a logical sequence of studies that will help develop the technical aspects. I am a professional trumpeter, I have participated in symphony orchestras, wind bands, big band, and small chamber and jazz ensembles. I have extensive experience teaching children, youth and adults. For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease. If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session. Whether you play a single line instrument (flute, saxophone, trumpet, violin etc.) or keyboard instruments, this class is for you.
