With nearly twenty years of experience in the music industry, I specialized in teaching music, particularly in the fields of jazz, blues and improvised music. I adopt a natural method of learning music that emphasizes listening and playing. Gradually, we introduce the reading of notes according to the rhythm of each student. Thanks to this approach, students are able to play from the first lesson. The last part of each session is devoted to practice through group play sessions (piano, double bass, drums). Experienced Oud & Oriental singing teacher for over 8 years, Lebanese, currently residing in Mönchengladbach. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I was a teacher at Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and also offered private lessons. Additionally, I served as a concertmaster in the oriental orchestra "Loubnan Assalam" for more than 5 years. My recommendation for learning the Oud is to begin by studying musical notes and notation before delving into songs. While some students prefer to jump straight into playing songs, understanding the fundamentals of music notation accelerates progress in the long run. Dedication and hard work can yield significant progress within a year, enabling you to play simple tunes. However, if you lack a passion for music or the instrument itself, I advise against pursuing it. As a friendly and passionate teacher, I derive joy from witnessing my students' progress and enjoy playing duets with them.
