After developing Muscular Tension Dysphonia in 2010 and not singing for almost two years, she overcame this vocal disorder after working with some of the best voice and voice rehabilitation specialists in the UK. I am a professional lyric soprano graduated from the CNSM of Lyon. I participate in productions with the Concert d'Astrée, the Choir of Namur, Accentus, the Opéra National de Lorraine, Choir de la Chapelle Harmonique. I am also on the lists of the Montpellier Opera, Concert Spirituel, Ensemble Correspondances and Radio France choir. I have just finished a production of Haydn's Die Schöpfung at the Opéra National de Lorraine last January-February, conducted by Marta Gardolinska (Guillaume Fauchère choir director), directed by Kevin Barz. I sang solo and in chorus the role of the Trojan woman in Campra's Idomenée in 2021 at the Lille Opera and the Berlin Staatsoper, staging of the fura dels baus, I also sang the solo of Campra's Requiem at the philharmonies of Luxembourg, Lille, Essen Cologne and Berlin with the Concert d'Astrée in 2019 directed by Emmanuelle Haïm. In 2019, I participated in the production of Les Indes Galantes by Rameau with the Namur Choir at the Opera Bastille, directed by Leonardo Garcia Alarcon and directed by Clement Cogitore. In 2022, I participated in numerous productions, notably with the Accentus choir in Beethoven's 9th symphony, the missa solemnis or even a polyphonic baroque project. In 2022 I participated in the production of Hulda by Cesar Franck with the Namur Choir at the Grand Manège de Namur, the Liège Philharmonic and the Théatre des Champs Elysées. My background as well as my skills in lyrical singing allow me to master my instrument well. I am a very curious and very patient person, and I like to find solutions to problems. Transmitting my passion to students wishing to discover or develop their voices, discover their artistic personality would be a great pleasure for me. If I can transmit this joy that I have from singing as well as my acquired knowledge, it would be a great exploration for them as for me.

As a lyrical singer I had the opportunity to perform at an international level but also to continue to teach my profession. My "teacher creed" In vocal pedagogy, I would say that I always find myself "face to face" with a new and unique instrument - the voice: each student is unique and that is why we must look for individual didactic and methodological tools. This means that I am able to lead a singing lesson in different ways so that I can find the vocal exercises or personalized and appropriate pieces of music to get the most out of each student. My vocal technique is based on breathing exercises, awareness of the whole body as an instrument, knowledge of the biological principles of breathing as well as the artistic meaning of breathing. My basic goals are: to maintain a feeling of high position while singing (singing with resonance), binding purely distinctive vowels (legato singing), developing the range of a voice step by step and balancing the vocal registers. While "building" the voice, I take the assessment and development of a student's personality seriously, which I think is undeniable in arts education. It also consists in knowing the appropriate repertoire according to the vocal development of each student.

The watchword is pleasure! We will take the time to find our way/voice. From body preparation to singing, vocalizations and breathing exercises, you will progress quickly. We can also see points of music theory and harmony in a little more depth if desired. The course of an hour of lessons: - 15 mins of body and vocal warm-up - 15 mins of rhythmic music theory/melodic music theory/harmony (if desired) - 30 mins of singing on backing track or I can accompany you on piano or guitar. Of course this is only a typical example. Above all, I will listen to you and we will work according to your desires and needs. After dedicating 14 years to mastering the guitar, I've developed a comprehensive understanding of guitar playing, encompassing both foundational techniques and advanced music theory. In these lessons, I'll be sharing the wealth of knowledge I've accumulated over this extensive period of learning. I will be covering a broad range of guitar techniques, including fingerpicking, strumming techniques, major and minor chords, power chords, barre chords, riffs, scales, finger warm-ups, practising any song of your choice, string bending, pull-offs, hammer-ons, harmonics, strumming patterns, and slides. All are provided with diagrams etc. For music theory, I will begin by covering the fundamentals, including notes, strings, and the musical 12-note chromatic scale alphabet on the guitar. As students progress, we will delve into more advanced topics such as tones, semitones, chord progressions, circle of fifths, scale formulas and chord terminology. Additionally, we will explore concepts like consonance and dissonance and pitch practice to develop relative pitch. (You have to be born with perfect pitch but you can learn relative pitch with practise!) Then advancing to jazz theory, we'll explore; jazz scale formulas, jazz chord progressions, swing techniques, major and minor 7th chords, major and minor 9th chords, dominant, augmented, half-diminished, diminished, sus2 and sus4 chords. And then jazz scales and the art of re-harmonising a song (changing the chords to jazz chords). All music theory will be intertwined with guitar practice as both can't be done without the other! One observation I've made while learning guitar through lessons is that information is often doled out incrementally, making it feel like a breadcrumb trail. Guitar knowledge and skills seem to be closely guarded and usually gatekept unless actively sought out. I strongly believe that the extensive knowledge I've acquired over 14 years of playing should be fruitfully shared in a more comprehensive and accessible manner, of course while being tailored to the pace of the students. In essence, I'm convinced that the depth of my understanding I've gained could be effectively conveyed and learnt within a two-year timeframe without including the time it takes to master the skill with practice, of course, I'd like to make it easier for people to learn the guitar and the theory behind it. I have also graduated with a distinction for my Music Performance and Production UAL Level 3 Course and a distinction in Fashion Communication which included my music playing at Central Saint Martins. I also have experience teaching guitar in London and Bristol before. The lessons will be taught in English so practising your English with me is also a plus, a foundational knowledge of English is required to take the lessons.

The singing course is suitable for all levels, the goal is to offer a first step towards more professional singing, by learning to put power in your voice while preserving it, understanding the important mechanisms to adopt to sing well, all in a good mood and with pleasure. After studying at the conservatory and music school, I obtained my Diploma of Musical Studies (DEM) specializing in jazz guitar. Over the years, I have been able to accompany around forty students, both in private lessons, group lessons and at the conservatory where I teach today. OPTION1) The course I offer is aimed at beginner to intermediate level guitarists, of all ages (children too!), in acoustic and electric guitar. My goal is to give you the essential basics of the instrument (body position, technique, chords) as well as an understanding of fundamental musical concepts (rhythm, ear, reading tablature and/or music theory) which will be very useful to you as a musician. We will base our learning as quickly as possible on real pieces of music, if possible suggested by the student because I think that learning by playing the music you like is the most motivating method. As a teacher, I have always adapted as best I could to each profile to make them learn in the way that suited them best, make them play the music they like, help them with their difficulties and push them to surpass themselves in their abilities. Finally, I always make sure that the lessons take place in a calm and pleasant atmosphere so that the student progresses at their own pace and learns while having fun. Hello and welcome ! My name is Charlotte, I am a singing teacher and professional opera singer. I graduated from the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris at the highest level with honours and I have a Masters in Opera Singing from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, where I have won several prizes. I am the recipient of a prestigious scholarship from the Malvina and Denise Menda Foundation of the Fondation de France. I also have a BA in Art History from the University of Cambridge and an MA in Art History from the Courtauld Institute. I teach the principles of vocal technique that form the basis of all singing styles: finding an ideal posture and alignment of the body and the air column and eliminating unnecessary tension; optimizing breathing and support (singing with the whole body); beauty and homogeneity of the voice in all registers (homogeneity especially in lyrical singing); clear and precise articulation in all languages. Of course, these bases adapt differently depending on the styles and offer keys to freeing the voice, and not to restricting the singer! My teaching is holistic and I take into account the whole person with great sensitivity. The voice is at the center of the body and mind, and singing unifies the two. I deeply believe in the well-being that singing brings and its power to release. My life as an artist began as a classical dancer (I was a dancer in the young dancers program at the Royal Opera House, London) and this taught me a good awareness of my body and how to transmit it to others.
